Resumo: Facts about Serbia: Official name The Republic of Serbia. It contains two autonomous provinces: Vojvodina and Kosovo and
Metohija.
Area: Republic of Serbia: 88,361 sq. km
Central Serbia: 55,968 sq. km
Vojvodina: 21,506 sq. km
Kosovo and Metohija: 10,887 sq. Km
Climate: in Serbia is temperate continental, with a gradual transition between the four seasons of the year. Summers are
warm, with temperatures up to 35°C and winters are cold and snowy, with temperature from - 10°C to 10°C).
Position: Serbia is located in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula, in the south-eastern part of Europe.
Population: In Serbia live approximately 10 million people. The majority of the population are Serbs (66 per cent), and
numerous among 37 nationalities which also live in Serbia are Albanians (17 per cent), Hungarians (3.5 per cent), followed
by Romanians, Croats, Bulgarians and others. All citizens have equal rights and responsibilities and enjoy full national
equality.
Language: The official language is Serbian and official alphabets are both, Cyrillic and Latin. In the areas inhabited by
national minorities, the languages and alphabets of the minorities are in official use, as provided by law.
Religion: The main religion in Serbia is Christian Orthodox, but there are also other religious communities: Islamic, Roman
Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and other.
Currency: The monetary unit is the Dinar (CSD) - 1 Dinar = 100 Para.
Banknotes: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 1000 and 5000 Dinars
Coins: 50 Para, 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 Dinars, 1,00 Euros is around 95 Dinars
with a population of 1.6 millions. Our HQ and Media Workshop spaces are in the central, in the walking distance and close to the Parliament, City Hall and many governmental administration’s building. We are looking for furter volunteers accomodation appartmant-hostel to be also at central city zone , and to be at to walking distance from Workshop space and HQ.

Host organization will:
Offer professional and personal support to the volunteer during the project (providing mentor from organization’s
environment for personal purposes and coordinator for professional purposes).

Ensure that practical arrangements are in place prior to the arrival of the volunteer.

Organize all necessary trainings (language course and others if necessary) and ensure volunteer to attend on-arrival and
mid-term trainings. Evaluations of the projects will be made monthly.
Prepare the Youthpass if volunteer wishes to have one.

Basic rules for Volunteers:
a) the host organization is an international educative and informative centre that offers services in media literacy and media education, opportunities and challenges for youths; and is as such available and open to all members during the working hours. All employees (professional and volunteers) are obliged to help, give support, guidance and counselling to our members.

The organization is working with young people, aged from 15 to 22. All workers should set a good example to young people, not drinking alcohol or abuse drugs during the working hours and at places or times related to the organization.
b) Volunteer should respect and protect all of organization’s property at all times. Volunteer can borrow organization’s equipment such as lap top, camera, photo camera any time unless equipment is used in other purposes. Volunteer should keep in mind to coordinate the use of equipment with other users and sign the paper. All equipment must be returned to the office as on receipt.
c) Photos and other material created by volunteer during the project will be open to the public, but addressed correctly to
protect the copyrights.
d) No drugs or alcohol is allowed to consume during the project.
e) Volunteer should keep the apartment clean and tidy. Any major changes in the apartment must be first approved by the organization. In case of damage the volunteer must inform the host organization about it immediately. The damage in the apartment should be reimbursed by the volunteer.
f) Volunteer is allowed to bring friends or family over to the apartment to spend some time or even to sleep over as long as
this doesn’t interfere with the work of the volunteer. In case of sleeping over, volunteer must inform manager
about the sleeping arrangement at least five days before the arrival and inform all volunteers about the hosting. Volunteer
must consider the fact that they live in a multi-residential house and to keep the noise down. If one host friend or family, the every guest should pay 5 € daily for the costs.
g) Volunteer should be aware that he/she is representing his/her country and also all EVS project. Volunteer should make
positive promotion of the EVS project and the country through whole project.
h) No intimate or sexual relationships are allowed between volunteers and/or any young people under the age of 18.
i) Volunteer should obey religion and other cultural rules in the country.

Perfil: 1. Young people over the 18 interested in media and Information literacy, media education and multimedia like tools for
changing, like to work to developing better and faster social inclusion, education, breaking prejudice, reconsilation of
relationship in post crisses regions, less oportunity people, developing of rural regions, developing of electronic
society, knowledge society, e-democracy, european cityzenship... in our seven main departments: HEALTH,
ENVIRONMENT, POVERTY, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT, WOMEN’S RIGHTS, DISCRIMINATION AND VIOLENCE

2. We will use web site and blog and all other networks to spread information to all interested people. Our plan is to
open special pages for every volunteer (some like blog) for better visibility, communication and promotion of EVS

3. All Organization working with young people in field of media, media education, education, non formal education,
informations and social science willing to use media like toll are welcome to apply to send volunteeres to the organization
Our basic idea is to communicate with our partner’s organizations (they expressed interest to send their volunteers in the organization and they encouraged us to start with EVS in the host organization). So, we beliewe that all our potential volunteers will have opportunity to see what we are doing, to send us their motivation letter and after that we will make open communication trough internet, skype and other communication tools together with sending organization.

Tarefas: The organization is place and space for Intercultural dialogue, creativity and innovation in media production, publishing and internet broadcasting. The organization project is exclusively designed to provide skill, professional development and familiarizing the young participants with codes and standards of media. Also, to provide media platform for young adults to express and present the seven significant issues relating to them globally.

The main activities of the organization members, delegates and participants are:
•To work with dynamic leaders who are making a difference with civil society, educational and NGO organizations around
the world;
•To develop resolutions of action to present to the United Nations, UNESCO and their own governments;
•To create powerful public service announcements with the help of filmmakers and media professionals from different
countries and different cultural, historical and confessional background;
•To learn how to organize international youth media exchange projects and find partners from other countries;
•To become part of the movement and to use all over the year media and information technologies, social networks
and all other online tools to promote ideas;
•To celebrate a united world with education, art, music, film, dance and food from other cultures.

The organization is a meeting place for people from Japan and Korea to Brazil and USA, South Africa, Nigeria, Poland, Sweden… Our members, participants, young leaders in the Youth Committee, and volunteers are from different continents, different cultural,
historical and confessional backgrounds and traditions. We are working with Buddhists, Hindu, Muslims, Jewish, Orthodox and
Catholic Christians, Protestants and other faith traditions. Our volunteers can:
-to work together with our young assistants and leaders of departments in all our National and International Projects, to help us in research for the best possible methodologies, content and visibility of our projects, dissemination of our work not just
in English language, localization of the EC Projects and teaching of Serbian Members of different languages’
-Share and provide our methodology with young people from Serbia to give to everybody chance to understand what we are
doing in our seven departments and after they could chose in what department they like to start. We would like to do with
our further volunteers same. First month will be introduction in all our activities and we would like to give chance to our
guest to meet all people working with the organization. After they will start with one of our project like part of the Team.
-We are ready to offer to our volunteers to developing collaboration with all other teams, if they like to change,
-We can offer at the moment one of our projects (among five permanent we have like every year all years projects):

1. To help us in developing of the Network of Media Creativity and reconciliation of the relationship in region after
crisis and role of Media Literacy in Western Balkans

2. Project about New ICT like main tool for communication between blind and deaf young people and their inclusion in our
projects,

3. Implementation of the different projects we like to localise: Animation is a Language, Film is a Language, Media4ME
youth informative and creative Network for region in Serbia and Balkan with multi-ethnic population...
They will start to work with our assistants and if they after like to have their team and to start to work of some project, we
are ready to encourage them and to help them
-We are looking for the help of volunteers in all of our activities. We have enough capacity to do this without his support but our main goal is to enhance international relationship and to help to our students to meet and to collaborate with youngsters from different European Countries, for practice intercultural dialogue and diversity like one of tools for wake up creativity...

-We are also very open and interested to encourage our volunteers to start some of their projects and I am sure that they
will have great help of our members in this work
-Volunteers would have specific, time related tasks during the week, in order to prepare the annual summit. They will
have at least 5 hours per day (for maximum of 5 days during the week) to work on Summit preparation and other local
projects not directly under the Summit topics
