Resumo: The proposed project “Green patrols" will approach 2 important themes: “Minorities” and “Urban/Rural Development". Through participation to the European Voluntary Service , we want to offer an opportunity to young people from Europe and rest of the word, to participate in common voluntary actions that will help them develop intercultural competences, cultural knowledge and to learn work in a new intercultural friendly environment.

The main activities implemented by this project will contribute to develop the rural areas from Valcea county and to involve Rroma community in the civic life of the local communities. These activities will be implemented using a range of non formal education methods as: workshops, debates, forum theatre, street animation, structured dialogue, word cafe, photovoice, film voice.

Perfil: -Boys and girls in equal numbers aged 18-30 years.
-adaptability to a cultural environment and outdoor activities.
-desire for active involvement in all phases of the project.
-young people with different backgrounds and interested to promote the diversity in the project.

Tarefas: 1.Working with young people from rroma community
The objective of the project is to offer international volunteers the opportunity to work directly with rroma youth in activities aimed at promoting personal development and cultural understanding through work, sports, creative and artistic programmes, as well as games and chats.

The project will be challenging in the sense that it will require a great amount of physical resilience as well as skills in human interaction, but this diversity will at the same time reinforce a more integral development of the personality of the volunteers.

Tasks: the volunteer’s main tasks will consist in taking care of the youngsters, guiding and assisting them with the selection and realization of the activities in which they are supposed to participate in.

2.Intercultural work:
organizing together with the members from the rural community, festivals caused by community's life events: for example picking up the grapes, mountain sheep departure,it will be done a research about the traditions and customs in rroma communities and it will be promoted.

3.Organizing local seminar to promote the EVS and the youth active participation to the community`s life
The practical arrangements:Within the EVS project, the volunteers will spend 5 working hours, from Monday to Friday.

Each volunteer will monthly receive 2 days off, up to his option, in accordance with an agreed timetable.

Horário: The volunteers will spend 5 working hours, from Monday to Friday.
Volunteers will also have days off when are the legal national holidays in Romania (1st of December, 24th of January, 1st of May, 24th of June, 15th of August).

Condições: 1

Formação: Volunteers will receive a fixed amount of money each month(150 euro) and they will use it to buy and prepare food by their own and another 60 euro per month as pocket money.
