Resumo: The local community is on the most north part, very close to the border with Hungary (13km). It has an old tradition and it changed its name many times, as also the nations living here were altered many times. Last big architectural and cultural transformations occurred while the highness Mrs. Maria Theresa of the Austro-Hungarian empire had leaded the region.
Our city has near 150.000 inhabitants, and a very rich mixture of cultures and ethnicities. In the town live Serbians, Hungarians, Croats, Bunjevac and other nations and minorities, such as Roma, Germans, Jews, Slovak's, Albanians, Bosnians, Montenegrins, etc. Two primary languages are official in the town (Serbian and Hungarian, as around 35% Hungarians and some 50% Serbians are living here).
The town is well connected with all the countries from the region and there are various and comfortable ways to travel to different destinations.
Near the town is Lake with its natural and architectural beauty, as well as several local farms-restaurants with traditional interiors, music and food. The volunteer will be provided with a bicycle, as all parts of the city and its surrounding can easily be travelled with this ecological and healthy kind of transportation.
The town has two theatres, three cinemas, several galleries, a museum, a very nice old town hall, a synagogue, a mosque, different cafés, restaurants, clubs, green areas, parks…
Many youth culture groups exist also. These groups are oriented toward cultural activities such as: artistic amateur performances, literature, music and art, new age technologies, alternative artistic forms (music, trash-art, painting, video art...), jugglers etc.
The Foundation has its 60m2 offices near the centre, with 5 computers, telephone line, internet connection and 2 printers, The potential volunteer will have its desk with all the needed technical equipment, mentioned above, and his/hers own cell phone.
Regarding the stay, the volunteer will have his/her own room at student standards and 3 meals a day with the proper pocket-money. As all institutions and organizations as well as our office are situated in the center, and regarding the small area, the transport the volunteer can use is walking, riding bicicle or eventualy going by public transportation , a bus.

Regarding recruitment processes, we depend a lot on the opportunities and possibilities of the created base of the YIA programme (existing data on EVS throughout Europe). We will make an open call in different medias. We will promote our project on all possible levels and social networks in which already the organization is in, or will apply for membership. We'll also use some of our personal resources, people who have a lot of European experience in this programme, and also have a lot of effective -Europe wide -contacts with other organizations.
Regarding the type of sending organizations, we welcome any organization that works in the field of culture and art, and of course have young people as their main target group. We would especially emphasize and wish to cooperate with sending and hosting organizations that have made already a platform and have some activities in the mentioned topics. As the host organization hasn't have much European experiences, we would also highlight our cooperation with organizations which have or would like to work on the general issues of European integration, in many ways and levels.
Tarefas: Two important remarks that stand for all bellow named activities and roles of the hosted volunteer:
Each kind of his/her involvement in activities will be adapted to the existing level of experience, skills, capabilities, interests and tendencies of the volunteer for the programs. So, each volunteer will be given a level of responsibillity and engagement in projects which will be in accordance to those paramethers.
Our tendency is to fulfill the main aim of the EVS idea, that means that the stay and work in our organization for the volunteer be an ideal combination of learning and working, a complete experience.
