Resumo: The town is the fifth largest city in Lithuania with a population of over 115,000.

The town is the county centre, with the Management Training Centre, Business Advisory Centre and Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce showing that a great deal of attention is paid to business development. Electronics, glass, textile, furniture, construction, food and other industries are well developed. The city is very interested in higher education.

Part of tasks will be routine and other part - different work tasks depends on the abilities and intentions of the volunteer.
Volunteers will work as assistant during the activities with mentally disabled youngsters.

We aimed to improve the quality of non formal disabled youth education and disseminate it by EVS activities.

Target group- mentally disabled youth form Jaunuoliu dienos centras and non disabled youth (volunteers)
Number of volunteers- 4 from 4 different countries
Participated countries: Austria, France, Portugal, Georgia.

Perfil: - able to work with mentally disabled youngsters
- open mind and to understand disabled people
- age: 18 to 30 years old

Tarefas: - to familiarize with the Centre, users, their families and staff;
- to be active helper in social daily work at institution;
- to build the good relationships with the Centre users and staff;
- to organize different social activities in the Centre: sports, handicraft, cooking, IT, ceramic, house keeping and etc.
- to organize activities out side of institution: mini zoo, festivals;
- to represent his/her country, culture and traditions;
- to familiarize with Lithuanian culture and traditions;
- to organize English language discussion club with staff;
- to organize English language discussion club with users;
- to learn Lithuanian language;
- to participate in extra activity events, cognitive trips and parties together with the Centre users and staff.

Horário: Volunteers will work 5 days per week maximum 6 hours per day. Weekends and national days will be free. During the 10 month project volunteers will have 20 days of holiday (2 days per month). We are very flexible about holiday time.

Formação: The Centre will make the special training for volunteer how to tread and how to work with mentally disabled youngsters.
