Resumo: "Tkibuli is situated in Tkibuli region, Georgia (about 3,5 hours from capital Tbilisi). The population is about 14 000 inhabitants. The closest city is Kutaisi which is at the same time the second biggest city in Georgia.
Tkibuli region is one of the least developed in Georgia. The economic activity in the region mostly stopped after the revolution in 1991 and the quality of life decreased significantly. Today´s major problem of the region is high unemployment (about 50%) and migration of people either to different regions or abroad. It is estimated that 1/3 of population left Tkibuli."

Perfil: Requirements: • High motivation to organize different free time activities • Good knowledge of English • Self-reliance • Basic knowledge of Russian (Georgian) highly recommended • European Union citizenship • Age under 30 years old

Tarefas: Proposed activities for the EVS volunteer: 1) Volunteer will continue in activities which a current EVS volunteer has started. Volunteer will teach several English classes in the office of the hosting organization. The classes will be conducted in the afternoons. Volunteer will continue in classes (some classes are with youth and some with adults) which previous EVS volunteer has started however new classes can be started as well since the demand for English classes is quite high. The level of the English classes will be mainly beginners. 2) Youth activities in TDDF´s youth centre - the local youth do not have many possibilities how to spend free time actively and they mostly just hang out with friends on streets. Volunteer is expected to organize various free time activities such as dancing, hiking, sport activities, etc. Concrete activities depend on skills of volunteer.
