Resumo: The host organization adress in a small village in the countryside. It is 50 km from Trondheim, and 30 minutes from the nearest town Stjørdal and Trondheim airport Værnes. It is in the middle of Norway. Selbu has 4000 inhabitants, bank, shops, healt service, etc. The area has butiful nature, mountains, woods and a lake in the middle. Selbu is known for the handcraft (knitting), timber industry, sports and cultural activities.

The volunteers has their own house, their own bedroom, and shares the livingroom, kitchen and bathroom. They makes their own rules for the common area. The students have a non-alcoholic and drugs rule.

Breakfast, dinner and supper are prepared in the main kitchen at school, it is also posible to cook in the kitchen in the house where they are living.

Perfil: The volunteer will need to be highly motivated to work close to many young people, She/he will be interested in social and cultural issues of the society.

It will also be nessesary that she/he is flexible and be able to work even if the pattern is not quite defined in all situations. Practical skills is an advantage, as we have nearly no theoretical subjects. We are open to cooperate with any sending organisation in Europe.

Tarefas: Weekly guidance by the mentor, language training twice a week and support from the staff that they work closest to with the students.

The volunteer will be a part of the staff - as an assistant together with one teacher or socialworker in the branch she or he want out of their own skills or interests, or alone to run one spartime activity guided and prepared together with one of the staff.

Each new volunteer makes her/his own timetable, according to their skill and interests. They will follow the classes and be a member of a working team in one of the branches we offer. For more information abouth the different branches to choose between
Each volunteer will also be connected to one boarding house with eight students, to help and assist in practical daily life.

The volunteer can also run sapretime actvities out of skills and interest, such as dancing, language training, art and handcraft - well - in all cind of activities that we have materials and possebilities - indoor or outdoor activities, the nature is close !

We also runs projects during the schoolyear - take one week to do the same activities - og f.ex. theater during a periode of the year, the volunteers could join all this as a "student" or as an asistent as they want.
