Resumo: The association is a public institution with its primary field of work with and for young people. Our work is focused on identifying the needs and interests of young people, provision of necessary facilities, equipment and knowledge to meet their satisfaction. We try to create an environment suitable for young people, where they can create in various fields (culture, social field, business, and sports).

Our regular activities include information and advising, concert activities, exhibitions, literary evenings and travelogue lectures, supporting local youth culture, children's and holiday programs, international activities. We coordinate the work of local active groups that promotes entrepreneurial thinking of young people; we have established a group of young active volunteers. We organize monthly concerts of popular and alternative music, theatrical performances, exhibitions, literary events, travelogue lectures. We offer an info point to all our visitors the point where they can find information material in from various fields and in the clubhouse, we have free access to daily and weekly newspapers and also trade journals. For all visitors, working with and for young people and youth groups who work on their own projects, we have a music rehearsal room, multimedia computer room with a computer for video editing, Internet access, scanner and printer, and the project area with the entire office infrastructure. For our youngest visitors we organize creative Saturday workshops, holiday activities in winter and summer, summer camp, carnival parade, puppet shows and gifts in December.

Perfil: The volunteer must be willing to accept work and life in our country; he/she has to be interested in exploring other cultures. We expect responsibility, high motivation for working in our organization and also a will for adapting to changes. He/she should have a strong desire to integrate into a foreign community and a wish for active participation in activities beneficial to the community. It is recommended that he/she is interested in areas in which we operate, and will be able to leave their own individual mark in our work. The volunteer must also be willing and able to work both independently and in a group.

We try as much as possible to promote EVS among our young people and involve them in our projects according to their interest, regardless of their background, education or gender. Among all the received applications we choose the volunteer for whom we believe is most suitable for our organization. We do that within a group of colleagues of our Youth Centre.

From the sending organization, we expect commitment to the project, the ability of high-quality and fast communication with us and a well prepared volunteer.

Tarefas: Our organization will provide to the volunteer all the equipment and facilities that could be used by precedent agreement, and the proper training. Youth centre Brezice regularly organizes training for their employees, in which the volunteer will be included and we will also provide him the Slovenian language course. We expect that the international volunteer will introduce us and our local community some of their culture and thereby contribute to a greater connection among European nations.

The volunteer will not and does not replace an existing or a potential job. For our organization, he/she will serve primarily to support various projects and with their involvement in the latter contribute to a better quality.

Activities will largely depend on individual needs, desires and abilities of the volunteer. We will encourage them to develop their own projects and help him/her with our knowledge and equipment. The volunteer will be involved in the realization of our regular activities according to their own interest. For projects, which he/she will take part in, we will provide the necessary training. In this way he/she will be able to help in organizing children's programs, events (he/she will be able to take part in organizing concerts or promoting them), preparing and placing exhibitions, participating in a video group, helping to promote volunteering, encouraging young people to actively participate in civil society sphere, etc.

As their own projects a volunteer could establish course of his native language, according to their knowledge and needs we will offer the option of running various workshops and encourage him/her in their own projects to develop them on the basis of his/her ideas.

Volunteer’s weekly schedule will be adjusted to the needs of our organization, in which a Slovenian language training and evaluation will be included. He/she will have two free days per week (the weekend or by choice). In the first three months he/she will have weekly evaluations and monthly evaluations later on, if more won’t be needed. He/she will have 24 days of holidays or made in proportion to the number of working days. The leave will be arranged by appointment.

The first two months of the volunteer's stay with our organization will be focused mainly on learning about the employees, working methods, programs and projects of our Youth Centre, in which the volunteer will also be included.

To volunteer will be supervised by a contact person who is committed for international projects for half of their normal working hours. In addition, we will provide a mentor, which will have regular weekly meetings with the volunteer where he/she can reflect potential problems. Other employees will also be involved and will help the volunteer regardless of their knowledge and working filed. Within the working hours day time to talk will be provided where the volunteer will be encouraged to suggest their own projects. We enclose the predicted weekly or monthly work schedules to this accreditation.
