Resumo: You will work with children and youth in Leisure time activities centre in Stara Lubovna, mainly in afternoon in interesting groups and clubs. You are welcome to develop your own project during your EVS. You will with other 2 volunteers. You will have to learn Slovak language.

Perfil: To be open to work with children, basic English

Tarefas: work in interesting groups, make a photos and videos from events, to help organise bigger public activities. Here are some examples of activities: -Supporting the youth groups which use the centre. -Every week take part at the preparation of one competition. -Communication with schools, school institutions, municipality as a member of a team of youth workers. -Guiding and providing support for the centre - activities for young teenagers. -Assisting in building - up courses, and exhibitions. -Assisting in preparation of local, regional rounds of competitions, olympiads. -Decorating the building. -Organising activities for teenagers or students. -Sharing experience, giving advice the Youth parliament in the process of fundraising, youth democracy and local government support. -Organizing a youth exchange /if possible/ -Assisting in preparation and realisation of proposals of holiday activities. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to work on other activities. These will be defined according to the aspirations and experiences of each individual volunteer. In effect each volunteer creates his or her own programme to suit their needs, experiences and interests. Activities with children start at 2 p.m and finish at 6 p.m. The volunteer can choose activities, which can /wants to participate on.

Condições: What we can offer to volunteers in terms of Service and learning opportunities, is: -The volunteers will get a professional Slovak language course. -The volunteers will get a mentor. -The volunteers will have the opportunity to get involved in an organisation. -The volunteers will get the desk room with an internet access. In the first eight week there is time to learn Slovak and to get know the organisation and the town. Every volunteer gets own tasks in the organisation.
