Resumo: Children and youngsters/ organizing/ creative workshops/ adminisatration

Our activities are mostly experimental, cross-over projects in the field between theatre, painting, dance, performance, storytelling, music, sculptures, new medias etc.

Children and youngsters are the main target group. However, teachers, pedagogues and other adults working with children take part in most of the workshops.
An example of our work could be to ask a painter, a performance theatre group and an artmuseum to cooperate to make a special exposition aimed at children. Thus challenging both artists and institution to develop a new concept of propagating art to children…. A sideeffect is widespread tendancy of having the enthusiatic children bring their parents to the museum afterwards. Another project could be to ask children from the whole country to write poems and paint pictures to put into a book published and sold in bookstores.

Kulturprinsen consistently dedicates it self to different projects, and is involved in all steps of the process, e.g. creating the idea, planning, carrying out, evaluating and spreading the obtained knowledge and experience. The results are produced, shown and used at the museums and institutions in the area, in public space during for example a festival, information spread by the means of a conference we organise, in a book written by children, or a book written by adults on children's culture.

Perfil: - Interested in creative activities
- interested in working with children
- age: 18 until 30 years old
- open minded volunteer,
- interested in dialogue and in the culture of Denmark
- must have selfconfidence, he/she must be willing to ask questions and take initiative, be extrovert…. and have a great sense of occasion.
- basic English and is interested in learning Danish

" Go shopping (Postoffice, materials for the workshops etc.)
" Using language abilities of the volunteer
" Making fotocopies etc.
" Preparing for a meeting - making coffee etc

Being with children and working with them would take up approximately 15% of the time.

Condições: The volunteer will live in a hostfamily. The host family does not receive payment but opens it's home to the volunteer based on the interest in intercultural understanding. The life in a host family will facilitate the integration in the local community, and will accelerate the process of both, language and intercultural learning.
