Resumo: The structure is established in a rural town of 13.000 inhabitants. The town enjoys an important historical and artistic heritage along with a dynamic economic place growing fast. Its location at the end of the south-western part of the Department of Calvados places it as an important crossroad for economic activity and promote a rich cultural life among associations.

The town of Vire is an important economic centre though it is away from the main roads. It takes advantage of an economic place that offers a lot o jobs. The percentage of people looking for a job is inferior to the national average. It is also an important educational place where you can find 7 nursery and primary schools, 2 schools for pupils aged 12 to 15, and 3 secondary schools, a University of technology with its two sections of Hygiene and Security, 2 centres involved in the formation of adults along with all the necessary structures for helping the people looking for a job.

The community life is very active and corresponds to the essential needs of the local population of the town and its surrounding area.

The cultural activity is brisk, Vire has the privilege to possess a National Theatre which allows the reception with residence of a theatre company and participates in implementing a brilliant cultural season.

It is also worth to mention a Music Academy.
Las but not least, every year during the summer-time Vire organises a famous Art in the Streets Festival.

This structure of the organization takes a very active part in the Local Educational Project of which it is an essential member. Its work is narrowly linked with the Municipalité and the various local associations aiming at a tight connection specially with children and youngsters.

Perfil: We have begun a partnership with a German host sending volunteers to the twin city, with a view to opening a host EVS project in the same city to host a young virois. We have compared the mutual knowledge of our structures, both of which aim to work towards young people with opportunities for professional collaborations. We have twice set up joint actions with young people from each city.

This collaboration allows the structure of German us a candidate just as we do when the host project will be open.
Our desire is to get in touch with other youth structures twin cities, then we will proceed the same way. That is why we are considering a voluntary accreditation of two to engage in a partnership with the other twin cities.

Tarefas: The project will consist of two main objectives :
• To increase the awareness of youngsters from 15 to 18 years old for the European Programme for Youth
• To take part in the animation projects of the structure more especially towards the teenagers and the young adults through the development of the access to the information and communications techniques.
• Develop projects aimed at youth Vire relationship with young twin cities.

Tasks of the Volunteer
Animation team of the teenager area .(20%)
Taking part in the preparation of the animation projects.

Animation of the Cyb Point and the Digital Public space (10%)
Animations to increase the awareness of the use of computers.
Monitoring for the consultation of Internet, practice of multimedia, music, video, artistic expression.
Reception of the public. Taking part in the process of creations projects with partners.

Taking part in the animations intended for teenagers (45%)
Reception in residence, discussions, exchanges, drawing up of spare-time projects.
Taking part in the street performances and all animations aiming at getting in touch with the young people.

Organisation of information meetings on the European Programme for Youth and of other activities according to the Volunteer’s abilities (15%).
Information and animations with CREAN (European Rural Carrefour of Normand Actor)
Realisation of an exhibition on the country, the area and the town the Volunteer is coming from.
Getting in touch with the former secondary schools for pupils aged 12 to 15, with secondary schools and universities to show exhibition and to present the European Programme for youth. Designing a joint project with two volunteers.

Organisations of activities intended to the inhabitants of the town according to Volunteers’s abilities (conversation in the Volunteer’s language, photographs, artistic expression and so on).
