Resumo: Themes: Art and culture, Equal opportunities, Health, Anti-drugs/substance abuse, Social exclusion (in general), Youth information, Youth leisure, Youth sports, European awarenes. Centrum Edukacji i Pracy Mlodziezy OHP in Torun - (where the project will take place) is subordinated to the Kujawsko-Pomorska Wojewódzka Komenda Ochotniczych Hufcow Pracy (OHP) in Torun, which is a government agency. The Centre is the special unit coordinating programmes concerning the active forms of unemployment prevention and those providing educational services at the local level. In the Centre work 15 people. The Centre is located about 20 minutes from the centre and have good connection with other parts of the town. The Centre is situated in the same building as the Kujawsko-Pomorska Wojewodzka Komenda Ochotniczych Hufcow Pracy, Œrodowiskowy Hufiec Pracy (Environmental Work Corp), Mlodziezowe Biuro Pracy (Youth Labour Office), Klub Pracy (Job Club), canteen, gastronomic and dressmaking workshops. Across the street is situated the Mobilne Centrum Informacji Zawodowej (Mobile Centre of Vocational Information), environmental common room and the boarding house for our participants. These units are also subordinated to the Kujawsko-Pomorska Wojewódzka Komenda Ochotniczych Hufcow Pracy. Except for activities which offer Centrum Edukacji i Pracy Mlodziezy OHP in Torun, the volunteers will have possibilities to participate in some of activities, which offer Srodowiskowy Hufiec Pracy in Torun (Environmental Work Corp), Mobilne Centrum Informacji Zawodowej (Mobile Centre of Vocational Information) in Toruñ and Kujawsko-Pomorska Wojewódzka Komenda Ochotniczych Hufcow Pracy (OHP) in Torun - team of European Projects Implementation and International Cooperation. Srodowiskowy Hufiec Pracy in Torun employed 10 people (7 teachers and 3 instructors). In school's year 2008/2009 its unit gathers about 140 young people in age 15-25 (including 21 youngstars, which are accomodation in our boarding house.

Perfil: he volunteer should be in age: 18-30 years old. We are not able to secure care of volunteers under 18 years old. Gender is indifferent. It would be better if the volunteer is openminded, communicative, patient and high motivation to work in our institution - especially with social neglected, poor young people. Command of language: the basic level of English would be an advantage.

Tarefas: "The tasks of the volunteer's include: 1. organizing activities for youth (15-25) to encourage them to be active (sport, film activities etc. - depends on volunteer), 2. organizing culture animations for youth (15-25), 3. information and promoting activities about EVS and Youth in Action Programme among youth and for unemployed in various places, 4. helping in organizing international cooperation. We would like to invite 2 volunteers. They will be involved in many various, interesting types of works within our institution. Volunteers will have a chance to choose activities, which they will like and are interested in. During EVS project volunteers will work on they own personal project. If they wish to start their own activities, it will be possible after discussion it with our organization. The project task is to help young people in many various aspects of their life. It intends to do this by developing and extending already existing programmes. Besides, our institution currently organize and realize new actions and enterprises, in which we would like to involve also volunteers. We hope to make use of volunteers' skills, abilities and initiative in the development of work with the youth and for the youth. This project allow to mutual exchange of different approaches to our work and common working out new methodology work with the youth. The first stage of our EVS project the volunteers will get to know our host organisation, our staff, youth, structure of the work in organisation. We will show where, how and for who we work. It will be about 2-3 weeks (dependindg on the volunteers). Next stage will be work with youngstars. We would like invite volunteers, who want to work with youngsters, because all sugested activities for the volunteers will require cooperate with polish youngsters.
