Resumo: This project is situated in the city center of Bratislava (capital city of Slovakia). Bratislava has aproximately 500 000 inhabitants, but many more are coming to work in Bratislava on daily basis.

There is quite good chances to spend your free time, but you should pay for most of them. (cinemas, museums, galerias, theatres, operas, several shopping centers, plenty of pubs and cafeterias, several sport clubs,...) There are also some youth club, which are trying to offer free time activities at lower costs.
Bratislava is a center of bussiness in Slovakia, and there are also situated many international companies. It brought some more cosmopolitan feeling to Bratislava, because they employ quite a lot people from foreign countries. We have also quite big erasmus student community.

Tips for trips:
Bratislava is very closed to Vienna (one hour by train) and also clodes to Budapest (capital o fHungary). There are lots of places near Bratislava, where you can enjoy canoeing and cycling.
Bratislava has two castles, which is worthy to visit, but there are lot more castles to see in the Western part of Slovakia. There are places where you can go hiking in the summer and skying in
the winter. If you are interested in ancient Roma, you will be pleased to visit Gerulata and Carnuntum near Bratislava.

Bratislava is quite young city, because there you can find many young people studying at universities
BUT, future volunteers should knows, that Slovaks are quite conservative people and many of them are not used to live with people from different cultural background. Other problem is, that not many people speak foreign languages (the percentage is bigger between young people, but still you should not expect from everybody, that he/she will understand you to speaking english).

The organization is one of several church communities situated in a town. We are connected with local roman catholic church, so there is quite strong religious enviroment present in our project.

Perfil: We would like to receive volunteers who are responsible and reliable, so they can obey our organisational rules.

We would like to receive volunteer who does not accept and take any drugs and is able to respect the rule of drinking no alcoholic drinks in our center. We prefer to have partners from organisation with religious background.

In recruitment process we would like to be receive CV, motivation letter and photo.

All applications will be read and then we will choose some short listed aplicants that will be contacted to have skype interview. We prefer our project to start on september, so we would like to receive applications in spring. (March-May). EVS volunteer will be chosen by all inner staff team
