Resumo: This Organization is an independent charity specialising in international voluntary service, especially for young people. The organisation promotes voluntary opportunities as a means to achieve international understanding and work for peace, whilst supporting community development.

EVS is a unique opportunity for young people around Europe and partner countries to meet, learn and share valuable experiences regardless of their background and ability. .

The Organization is committed to supporting volunteers throughout their EVS journey - we provide regular occasions where volunteers can meet up, share experiences and obtain advice and information about volunteering. Through our strategic plan we are committed to supporting young volunteers with fewer opportunities to take part in Short Term and eventually Long Term EVS.

Current and previous involvement in EVS:
The Organization has been involved with EVS since 1998 and since then has become an EVS sending and co-ordinating organisation for host projects in Wales, and an approved training provider for the programme. We have co-ordinated over 80 long term volunteers to do EVS projects in Wales and similarly have supported over 150 long term volunteers to do EVS throughout Europe. In addition to this we have also supported over 50 young people to take part in Short EVS projects throughout Europe and have hosted over 50 volunteers on our ST EVS hosting project in Carmarthenshire.

Currently we co-ordinate 7 EVS hosting projects in Wales ranging from environmental work to social and community work and we continue to send over 25 young people on EVS projects every year. In 2009 we sent 19 young people on ST EVS projects throughout Europe and hosted around 15 ST EVS volunteers on our project UNA Exchange Carmarthenshire.

We hope to develop our involvement in EVS, Short Term EVS and the Youth in Action Programme as a whole over the coming years to ensure opportunities are especially available to vulnerable young people and those with fewer opportunities.
