Resumo: The youth Coordination of the city of Wörgl is an organisation within the city council, which coordinates several youth projects with different focuses. We are dealing with young people in different projects. These youngsters have different backgrounds and various ages. The target group is between 13 and 21 years of age. The activities for the volunteer will be to make contact to the young people, to accompany them and to support the youth workers in this projects. We have several possibilities for an EVS-volunteer, where she/he could work, regarding to her/his preferences and abilities. The two main working places will be the event centre “KOMMA” and the “Youth centre Wörgl” but it’s also possible for the volunteer to work at the youth information centre “Infoeck" and for the youth project I-MOtTION.

Perfil: The volunteer’s profile is very loose one because we want to address as many young people as possible.The EVS placement is open to all young people between 18 and 30 years of age. We will be very happy to host a volunteer who: …enjoys working with young people aged between 13 and 21.…takes an active interest in youth-culture, youth related issues and common interests of young people.… can inspire others.…likes to develop and to realize his or her own.…accepts ideas, proposals or initiatives from youngsters .…is self-confident and willing to learn dealing with conflicts.…has a friendly and self confident attitude towards young people.…is communicative, open-hearted and open-minded.…is willing to learn German.…likes to work in a team.…knows how to work self-dependently.…is willing to learn and practise self-reflection. The recruitment process for the EVS in our organisation is well planned and transparent.• All volunteers who send us their application will be considered. The sending organisation can be anyone although we would appreciate an organisation which works in the same field, dealing youngsters.

Tarefas: Event centre “KOMMA” is an important cultural facility in the town of Wörgl. We are organising different cultural events, mostly for young audience. Beside the organisation of events, we also rent the facility for different activities. The volunteer will have the opportunity to support the manager in all activities like processing the events from the idea to execution and finalisation. The volunteer is also invited to support our marketing activities (introduction and work on updating the homepage, make posters and flyers together with our designer, communicate with journalists and make press releases etc.). During the events a central issue is the catering and take care for the artists. Here the volunteer can organise the food supply and look after the artists, so they have a professional support. We can benefit from the volunteer´s knowledge of foreign languages, because many bands and artists are coming from abroad. Through those activities the EVS volunteer will have the chance to make contacts to other young people in Wörgl, but also to other institutions which are settled in the region which will quicken the integration to the local community. Youth Centre: We take care for young people between 12 and 20 years of age. The youth centre is open to everybody regardless to the origins, nationality or confession of the young visitors. We try to let teenagers feel secure in our centre and offer them different possibilities to spend their free time. We offer indoor/outdoor activities (e.g.table soccer,free acess to internet, DJ, biking, hiking). The youth centre in Wörgl will give the opportunity for the EVS-volunteer to work in the youth café, to develop new work shops, projects or events with the visitors.
