Resumo: The project will take place in the Deaf Communication Center - DCC which offers vocational training and employment solutions for the deaf, as well as sign language courses for the hearing community.

DCC courses are free of charge and offered on the following subjects: For the Hearing - Turkish Sign Language Courses -International Sign Language Courses -Sign Language Conversation Club For the Deaf -IT Skills courses -Web Design courses -Graphical Design courses -Beauty Care courses -Hotel F&B Services courses -Turkish Sign Language Courses -International Sign Language Courses -Sign Language Conversation Club (deaf students can also participate)

- Any experience in working with the deaf and knowledge of basic sign language is an extra bonus
- adaptable with their schedules.

Tarefas: THE ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER Depending on the experience of the volunteer and his/her knowledge of sign language. The volunteer will begin by an immersion program in Turkish Sign Language and a period of time to adjust to the school and environment. During this time, in accordance to the volunteer's preferences and abilities, a course will be chosen for them to assist in the teaching of. One example would be teaching English to the Deaf. The volunteers will then take on the role of an assistant teacher in the class and assist in the organizing of events & activities for the DCC.

LEARNING OUTCOMES Volunteers who take part in this project can expect extensive personal and professional development, acquired through the project's implementation and skills training provided by the teachers at the center.

Condições: Accommodation:

- To be willing to live and room with other volunteers.
- To endeavor to work well with the members of the organization, the other volunteers and the mentor.
- To maintain a clean living and working quarters and to maintain in good condition all materials/areas assigned to them for their accommodation or project needs.
- To share responsibility with other volunteers in matters such as cleaning and cooking outside of their project time.
- To use all items and commodities (water, electricity, gas, etc.) economically.
