Resumo: The CEJ covers the area of Norte, that is, the municipalities of de Sta. Coloma de Gramenet, St. Adrià del Besòs and Badalona. They border with the city and have a lower social and economic level than the mean in the city and Catalonia. It is mainly occupied by migrants during the 70’s from other parts of Spain and during the 90’s from outside the EU.

Being specialised in international European mobility, it has ample YiA experience. It has hosted volunteers for the porject JUMP TO EUROPE and has sent several short-term EVS volunteers.

It has also organised several youth exchanges and a partner seminar. One of its tasks is providing counselling to different organisations submitting YiA projects, for Actions 1, 2 and 3.

The aim of the project is that the volunteers collaborate in the following activities with the people in charge of them:
• Promotion of the YiA programme among disfavoured youth in our region.
• Link the youth policies and experiences of Barcelonés and Europe.
• Promote the YiA among disfavoured young people as a way to fight social exclusion.
To manage so, and so that the actions have a multiplying effect, volunteers will also collaborate with diffusion and awareness campaigns of European programmes in English, in their language, as well as other proposals of youth and of concern for volunteers.

Perfil: The profile of the volunteer is someone motivated to do international work and mobility projects and who likes working with youth. It is not necessary to have specific studies or qualifications as the project provides ongoing training in European projects and resources that we believe can benefit all young people. The project is aimed at a comprehensive profile including young people with fewer opportunities. Nevertheless we do not exclusively determine the profile as the project is open to all young people with the only requirement of interest in the subject of European mobility.
age: 18 until 30 years old
The project will be published in the EVS data base. A democratic access to the project is guaranteed through an objective recruitment, on the basis of the letters of motivation rather than the curriculum of the volunteer. The recruitment will be done by tutors of CEJ together with Nexes; the volunteers best adapted to the profile, with less previous opportunities and experiences will be selected in order to ensure the multiplying effect of the EVS.

Tarefas: One of the goals of the Centre Europa Jove is to promote European mobility and active participation of young people. The volunteer will help to increase the diffusion of programs, especially the European Voluntary Service. Being a participant of the EVS makes easier and more credible to motivate other youth to participate in this or another mobility program.
The volunteer will enrich the CEJ giving the authentic European dimension to the work of mobility promotion. The very important role of volunteer will be to share his/her experience with other young people who are interested in participating in a mobility project.

The activities in which the volunteer may participate are the following:

Diffusion of the resources of the CEJ:
-update of the web site Centre Europa Jove
-collaboration in the edition of the monthly digital bulletin Europa Jove
-update of the data base of organisations
-collaboration in the elaboration of information material
-gather mobility experiences in the territory (by interviewing entities)

Activities of the CEJ:
- English workshop for youths participating in projects and users of the CEJ: the volunteer will help in carring out this workshop with the material available at the CEJ and with the help of the person in charge of the center who will facilitate the material, additional resources, the calendar and methodology to be used.
-Workshop of their mother language to users of the CEJ: this workshop is an activity that will help in the diffusion of the culture of origin of the volunteer and of his/her language. It is also a very gratifying activity and entails a direct contact with other young people.
- Collaboration in workshops in secondary schools and other educational training activities.•
-Give information, directly, by telephone or e-mail to young people.
-Support with the elaboration of photographic exhibitions about international activities.
-Support in other activities and mobility projects.
