Resumo: CTP's programme focuses on providing educational, informational and leisure time activities to children and young people in the Prespa and Florina region (some projects include as well the Prespa cross-border region-Greece, Albania and fYROM) as also activities for the touristic development of the area. Non formal learning about arts and new technologies, informational and support activities on topics such as volunteerism and civil society, social inclusion, physical, psychological and mental health and job opportunities as well as awareness raising about important issues such as the environement, gender, human rights, cultural diversity and European integration are the main topics of the project. The key participants are NGOs and other Youth institutions, the local communities, young people and the touristic stakeholders. The main goals are: information, non formal learning, awarness rasining, collaboration and networking.

Useful for this programme will be if the volunteers:
are interested in children and youth and in designing and implementing small to medium sized projects for them (the duration of these projects can be from 3 days to 10 months)
are creative and can design educational, informational and recreational activities for children and youth
are interested in alternative ways of tourism and sustainable development of a rural isolated area
are enthusiastic, sociable, open-minded and communicative
are interested in research and contact-making
have artistic skills
Generally, a capacity for self motivation and experience in rural and isolated communities will help the volunteer to gain as much as possible from this experience.

Tarefas: Designing and Preparing of projects: the volunteer will assist in supporting project leaders by helping to develop the content of a project, assist in designing the work plan, research on possible partners involved

Designing, Preparation and Realisation of Events: the volunteer will support the project leaders in compiling an action plan (transport, accommodation, board, visas, material, publications, promotion, etc.) for the event (cultural events, educational activities, meetings, round table discussions and conferences) in drawing up a budget for the event, in collecting material for the event (e.g conference: guidelines, background briefs, agenda, etc), partner search on a national and international level, in arranging the different tasks of the action plan, in supporting the participants of the events, in compiling the conclusions and in drawing up a follow up. For example: the annual youth exchange. The volunteer can also organises small events on own initiative, or together with the team of volunteers but always with the support of the CTP team. Events such as; Break-dance Party, Cultural Carnival, Balkan Night, Treasure hunt, etc. The will also be able of participate in the touristic development activities that include mainly cooperations with tourist stakeholders in the areas Aminteo, Florina, Nestorio but also cross-border areas in Albania and FYROM. The activities include research, organisation of seminars, networking, creating of promotional material and propulsion through modern tools of network and promotion.

Workshops and other educational activities: The volunteer will help to devise a series of workshops to stimulate the young people's interest in the fine arts, new technologies, to create awareness about important issues such as the environment, gender, human rights, etc and to help young people create a better understanding of their cultural heritage, their individual cultural expressions and their cultural diversity. The volunteer will be involved in the designing, planning (organisational and technical details) and realising of the workshops. Workshops organised in the past: photography, drawing, music, dance, theatre, handicraft, computer, internet and English conversation workshops.

CTP's Box: Three times a week the volunteer will visit the villages of the region to meet with the children. They will play games, make handicraft workshops, or play theatre and prepare the outcome of the workshops: public presentation, exhibition. Concert, etc. The volunteer gets freedom in the choice and organisation of the activities.

Research: The volunteer will assist in devising and co-ordinating research where needed, i.e. help review available literature and previous research (where linguistic skills allow), research on funding possibilities, NGO and youth centre activities, research on possible new collaborations, for good and bad models of tourism in similar rural areas of Europe, tools for the promotion of touristic products etc. They will also assist in conducting interviews where possible or to contribute to such a programme of interviews, assist in compiling reports, creating profiles and a database (possibly also creation of a website)

Running of the Cultural Space ('The Library'): The volunteers will participate in running the public library in Laimos, Prespa. Random tasks in the centre are recording books, playing games with youth, assisting youth on computers etc. The volunteer will be responsible for organising small activities such as games, workshops or music/ movie nights on weekly basis, or bigger events on a monthly basis. The volunteer will also assist in the organisation of small activities on weekly basis for youth like games, activities, music and movies nights or bigger activities on monthly basis.

Contact making activities: Research on possible new partners and interested parties (internet search, etc), contact-making meetings (travelling involved), assist in developing a relationship with the young people of the wider area sufficient to encourage their participation in the programme

Participation in trainings: In addition to the on arrival and mid-term training, the volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in different trainings and seminars according to her/his field of activities in Greece and abroad.
