Resumo: The volunteer will integrate and be supported a team of animators in one of the schools and the Leisure time Centre. Being added to one of the teams, he (she) doesn't take someones place , his (her) presence is a plus, synonym of freshness and openness to a new language and culture. In daily life, he (she) will participate during the pupil's off-time (during lunch and after school: monday/tuesday and thursday/friday out holidays) in different animation activities to share his (her) culture, to discover and to share, to bring an added value to animation and open-mindedness. There are weekly team meetings and the volunteer is welcome, to ask questions and to propose his (her) ideas for activities. Animation is based on common values like the children rights, animation, art, culture, expression, sportive discovery, manual activities, and any other tool favouring socialisation; aspect that should be taken in consideration by the volunteer when defining his intervention sector. In the leisure time centre, the volunteer will participate in animation of the different groups and could then choose an age bracket. The choice of the group can be discussed in function of the project and the affinities of the volunteer. He (she) could take part in different activities, as same as in the weekly team meetings. Special missions can be proposed to him, depending on his proper competences, like sportive workshops, handicraft, creative artistic, cultural or musical workshops, but the volunteer will be framed by the team. The volunteer could initiate and develop a personal project in adequacy with the welcomed public and the intervention context (rules for hosting minors in France). He (she) will intervene in the Leisure Time Centre on wednesdays and from monday to friday during holidays. For any activity, the volunteer will be framed by a team, there will be a referent designed who could guide him (her) in the beginning and to permit him (her) to discover all the aspects of a pedagogi
Condições: We guarantee a secure hosting environment. The volunteer will benefit of an accompaniment that prevents crises risks and conflict resolution in particular. Accompaniment of his mentor that is exterior to his hosting structure, accompaniment of a project responsible, regular team meetings. The volunteer also has emergency numbers for major problems, such as national agency and regional correspondent. Working with a target group in difficulties is a challenge for the volunteer. Added to the cultural shock, he or she will se him (her) self confronted to a target group with specific needs, which will ask for him (her) a big support to be able to understand these needs and to find tools to be able to answer to them in his (her) proper way, within his (her) competences. For this the hosting staff is prepared to support the volunteer in these constructive approach that will permit him (her) to the children and youngsters: propose a walk in town, go to the cinema, to the museum, do homework, prepare an exhibition: live the intercultural and find there tools to answer to the children's need to share and give the volunteer the opportunity to live an intercultural experience very rich. To foster this, the team will encourage the volunteer by giving him (her) the human or material tools he (she) might need: to go with if necessary, to have at his disposal a car (if he (she) has the driving license of course) or give him (her) access to reduced prices like to the children for leisure in Marmande to foster cultural discovery in rural area. We already hosted volunteers, and one of our objectives is to bring the group of children in the volunteers' country: show them that distance, language, nationality, culture are not obstacles to an intercultural and profound relation. A follow-up is wished and answers to the children's needs as to the request of the volunteer that is part of the local and cultural integrations process.
