Resumo: Educational summer camps are ongoing summer activities. The camps are held in various mountainous regions where historical monuments and monastries also exist.
Each camp lasts for 4-6 days depending on the distance of the region, and the participants are accommodated in tents.

The main aim of these camps is to organise active leisure time of Armenian young people with recreational activities and equip them with basic knowledge on Intercultural Learning and Culture of Peace.

The EVS volunteers will add intercultural dimmension to these activities and will bring refreshment and new ideas with them while making the summer camps more intersting and multicultural.

The activity will last for 2 months. The first 2 weeks will be the integration and education period: the volunteers will have time for integrating into the local community; its mission and activities; and will be intensively trained on Intercultural Learning and Project Management.

The volunteers will receive basic knowledge on the above mentioned topics in order to successfully implement their tasks during summer camps.

Perfil: - high motivation towards the project themes and tasks;
- interested in intercultural learning and culture of peace;
- open minded, flexibility to understand other cultural behaviours;

Tarefas: The EVS volunteers will assist the team for organising Educational Summer Camps and together they will share the following tasks:
Preparation phase – 2 weeks:
• Get instructed on safety issues, first aid, and outdoor activities
• On-spot visits to the places for organising educational summer camps (checking the availability, safety, convinience of the places)
• Designing detailed daily activities (project programme) for each educational summer camp
• Spreading the project call of the educational summer camps through various social media, the mailing lists and news-letter of the host organisation
• Taking active part in the selection process of the participants for the educational summer camps.

Implementation phase - 4 weeks.
The two teams will work simultaneously and the camps will be held simultaneously. The tasks are:
• Assisting in management of the practical issues and transportation to the camping areas
• Organising team-building activities, hikings and other recreational activities
• Assisting in conducting outdoor training modules on concept of culture, intercultural learning, culture of peace as well as European youth programmes and structures using methods of non-formal education
• Organising intercultural evenings where the EVS volunteers will present their culture and learn from Armenian participants. • Promoting EVS and YiA Programme among the participants of the camp and local people.
