Resumo: Our Institut is an important part of the social framework in the province of Upper Austria and its ancillary housing projects provide a home for 298 people with learning difficulties and/or multiple disabilities ranging in age groups from children to senior citizens.

Between 5 and 10 disabled people live in each family group and are cared for between 5 and 8 staff members, depending on the intensity of the care required. 572 staff members and approximately 70 volunteers and conscientious objectors are employed in the different departments.

We have quite a lot of experience with foreign volunteers and were involved from the beginning as a hosting organisation for the European Voluntary Service.

Perfil: - able to deal with handicapped people

Tarefas: - daily assistance in everday life,
- leisure time activities as sports, arts, theatre and pedagogic issues
- They will be part of care-teams, so that a lot of personal contact within the team will be possible as well as learning how to participate in a team and do good team work
- The volunteer will support the staff members in their work with the clients assisting in leisure-time activities, additional services in the educational field, cultural activities with the clients, such as going to the cinema or theater.
