Resumo: The Youth Information Centre from Ireland will be hosting a 9 month EVS project.
The project involves two volunteers coming to volunteer in the Youth Information Centre. The EVS Volunteers will take up the role of Assistant Information Officers during their placement. They will have a remit to work closely with the Information and Development staff in the delivery of our Outreach plan. They will also be involved in the day to day operations of the information centre and drop-in facility at the Youth Information Centre.
Some aspects of our work is carried out under the Youth In Action 2006 – 2013 Programme, thus the volunteer will benefit from participating in the application processes and the implementation of any successful projects, e.g. Youth Exchanges; Youth Democracy projects
The underlining objective of the project is to offer two young people an opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture, whilst gaining new skills and languages, which will evidently result in benefits for both the volunteers and the local community.
Perfil: We are particularly interested in those with media training, such as film making and film editing software experience, photography experience or radio journalism experience.
Those with publishing or print journalism experience will also be welcome.
Previous experience of working or volunteering with teenagers and young adults would also be an advantage.
