Resumo: The association is preparing a Group EVS application for a dynamic and challenging project that addresses all young people, regardless of gender, religion, social or educational background.
Este projeto inclui 16 voluntários SVE devários países, 2 dos quais portugueses que vão trabalhar em projetos de educação para a cidanania com crianças e jovens até aos 15 anos através do teatro, animação, música, jogos, etc
Perfil: . Age: 18 – 30 years
. education is a plus
. basic level of English (being able to make herself/himself understood by the others – able to communicate).
. availability and desire to live in the countryside
. interest in learning the Romanian Language
Tarefas: 1. Social inclusion
The volunteer can work with the following social categories:
- elderly citizens institutionalized in special centres (some of them don’t have families),
- elderly citizens that are not institutionalized (senior citizens club with fixed hours where they can come and socialize),
- children coming from disorganized families that come in specialized centers for a limited period of time,
- children with fewer opportunities,
- children with minor mental disabilities,
- children with severe mental disabilities,
- persons with physical disabilities (they are members in a NGO specialized for people with disabilities).
The volunteer that wants to work in this direction must like to work with children and/or senior citizens and be willing to commute with the public transportation (the distance can reach up to 50 km for one trip).
2. Rural active citizenship
In the hosting communities the volunteers will develop and implement extra- curricular activities for the children and pupils from the kindergarten, primary school, general school, High School and Pupils Club. Some of these activities can be:
- Language workshops (English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, etc);
- Presentations on: equal rights, democracy, European institutions, etc;
- Workshops on photography;
- Another important direction is that of empowering the Students Council. In all the schools such Councils exist. The main challenge of the volunteer will to empower the Student Council and its members.
The volunteer that wishes to work in this direction must have at least basic knowledge about democracy, human rights, children rights, to know what an active citizen is, and/or want to work with the children from the kindergarten, primary, general or High School.
3. Cultural diversity & recreation
The volunteer can work in the hosting community, with children and pupils in the following locations: kindergarten, primary, gymnasium and /or High School based on what the hosting community has. Examples of activities are: sports and dances, drama (theatre plays), green activities (cleaning areas, planting trees, etc), cultural activities (presentations of custom from own countries, intercultural events, traditional dances, culinary events, etc), camps, outdoor activities, raise youngsters cultural awareness, tradition and customs diversity, celebration of international days (Europe Day, International Volunteers Day, Tolerance Day, International Thank You Day, Rroma Day, etc).
The volunteer that wishes to work in this direction must have basic knowledge of his/her own culture and wish to share it with others, have basic skills as animator, basic skills as a coordinator and or willing to learn one or more of the above skills.
4. Youth rural entrepreneurship
In the rural environment of Romania, the concept of entrepreneurship is limited only to the idea of purchasing products from big cities and selling them with a profit in their own communities.
The volunteer that wishes to work in this direction should have some basic knowledge about entrepreneurship from their home country and be willing to teach others about it. He must also wish to learn about funding opportunities from Romania.

Formação: The Coordinating Organizations will arrange for Romanian Language Courses on weekly basis for as much time as the volunteer will need.
The Romanian language lessons shall be provided by experienced language teachers.
The language courses will be provided free of charge for the entire period of the EVS project.
