Resumo: This EVS project is based in a city located in central Macedonia. There are about 35.000 people living in the city, most of them ethnic Macedonians and Orthodox Christians. The city is situated in the Tikvesh Valley, and thus it has good environmental conditions for agriculture - which is the most developed economic activity in the whole region.

We provide non-formal education and organize various events and everyday activities such as: outdoor and indoor activities, theatre, art workshops, language classes, creative writing, debates, music, movie nights, intercultural nights, journalism, video, etc.

Our work is directly connected with young people, and the main theme is art, culture, and sport.

This organization has its main office in Skopje, where it rents offices and a youth club. Nevertheless, the organization is implementing projects and activities on a national level as well. Organization's membership is consisted of young people from different cities in Macedonia. Since the local members showed great potential, motivation and interest in developing activities, they decided to open a youth club and address the needs of young people in this city as well. Now the organization rents a house near the city center, fully equipped with computers, printer and other office equipment.

Perfil: - Have experience in working and developing activities with children and young people aged 13 to 25.
- motivated to work on promoting creativity, youth participation and active citizenship of young people
- interested in intercultural learning and exploring the way of living in Macedonia.
- interest in the chosen field of work in - arts, media.
Afterwards, we will conduct phone interviews with the most serious candidates, in order to finalize the selection procedure.

Tarefas: - Organizing and assisting the organization of various activities for the young members (workshops, outside events, performances, concerts, volunteer actions etc)
- Assisting the work of the office (coordinating the members, planning activities, fund-raising etc)
- Providing support and help to the local instructors of the Public debate club.
- Organizing promotional events for the organization and its activities.

Workshops will be implemented with small groups of students, mostly ranging from 10 to 20 members. With each group activities will be developed twice or three times a week, lasting 45 to 90 minutes.

The same or very similar types of activities will be developed in the city and in the village.

It is expected that these activities would take up to 60 - 70% of volunteers' working time. The rest of the working time will be filled with activities developed with the local members of the organization (in organization's offices), with the local club for Public debate and activities in the High School.

Horário: The volunteer will be expected to work for 6 hours during the working day.

Weekends and national holidays will be non-working.

The volunteer will also have the right to use holidays and to leave the office for certain periods of time - according to the agreement made with the organization.

Formação: Language training will be provided, by a Macedonian language teacher.

The volunteer will follow 3 classes per week either alone, or in a group with other EVS volunteers from the organization.
