Resumo: KALIBER35 is the annual Munich International Short Film Festival, taking place at various locations throughout the city. One of them, where our office and thus the main workplace for our volunteer is located, is film.coop in the Schwanthalerhöhe-neighborhood, close to the Donnersberger Bridge. We there are located at the Westend business park at Westendst. 123, conveniently situated in the middle of a lively urban district.

Our idea is that our volunteer takes part in the programming of our International Short Film Festival. This includes first and foremostly the screening of the submitted films as well as the single-handed research for further films. Sources might be the Oscar-Nominees, other film festivals or national distributers or film organisations. The visit of film festivals as for example the biggest short film festival in Clermont-Ferrand can be a part of this work too.

Perfil: Characteristics we are looking for are loyalty, conscientiousness, diligence, hard work, ability and willingness to learn, responsibility, dependability, strong communication skills, openness, friendliness and fearlessness.

Regarding the selection process, we will carefully look at all the applications that you send us and will try to know the most suitable candidates if possible in person, or at least through Skype. We are open to cooperation with any kind of sending organization.

Tarefas: The task is to choose the 35 best films of the tons of produced and submitted short films of the last year, to establish the contact with the filmmakers and to plan the program of the festival. Requesting and organising all the information and materials necessary for the participation of each film is a part of this work. Further challenges are the planning of the attendance of the directors to the festival and taking care of the international guests in Munich.

According to the interests and skills of the volunteer, the participation in other areas of the festival (such as press-work or sponsoring for example) or in other projects of the organization are possible.
