Resumo: “Youngsters for Arts” a 3 months short term EVS project on the theme of Art and Culture and Media and communication / Youth information.

During the EVS stage the volunteers will get involved in activities within the Cultural Center for Youth Zamolxes such as workshops (dance, music, theater, creation) and other local cultural events (intercultural evenings, karaoke, film club, music concerts, street art). Special interest will be shown for the preparation of a main event in August – The Youth Festival.

Perfil: We expect that the volunteers should be motivated, comunicative, enthusiast, creativ, inovative, responsabile and wishing to learn in order to get involved in different activities with children and youngsters.
We are open to host and coordinate volunteers coming from all program countries but also from all partner countries. Thus we try to provide regional and gender balance. We also want to increase the involvement of volunteers coming from less advantaged areas.
We'll provide a transparent procedure in everything that involves the available EVS placements and the selection criteria. We'll post on our web page, but also on other mail groups all the information regarding the above mentioned. We'll send this information also to all our international partners.
We expect a good cooperation in the selection procedure with the sending organizations.
The result of the selection will be published on our web page and each volunteer who applied will get a personal e-mail with these results.
We would like to cooperate by a long term basis, with organizations for youth with whom we can exchange volunteers.

Horário: The volunteers will have a weekly program of 25-30 hours. Working hours during the week are flexible. The volunteers can be involved also in our weekend activities, in this case, they can have additional free time during the week.

Condições: In Campina, the EVS volunteers will be accommodated in apartments with all the necessary utilities (warm and cold water, central heating, Internet, cable TV, washing machine, kitchen utilities), in groups of 2-4, so that each of them will have its own room. These apartments are about 15-20 minutes far, by walk, from the office of our organization. For food they'll get money and they can cook themselves. Any other requirement will be solved by agreement with the hosting organization's responsible. We'll provide the volunteers in case of need also bicycles.
The volunteers will get proper Romanian language courses during their stage (around 6 hours weekly in 3 months).

We'll take all the necessary measures to guarantee the volunteers a safe living and working environment. Thus we'll provide them information about rules in organization and in community. Also we'll provide proper instructions in working with the electrical, electronics equipment. We'll take care that all of them have an AXXA insurance card.
Our NGO will have a mentor for 5 volunteers. The mentors are persons that know well our NGO and are proffesionists in psychology, pedagogy able to support the volunteers in their process of adaptation and also of solving all the problems may occur during the EVS stage. The mentor will have a weekly meeting with the volunteers and any time when it will be needed, in order to have a right view of the entire EVS process and also the progress of volunteers in their learning service. Thus the mentor will be able to prevent and to manage any risk or crises during the EVS stage of the volunteers.
We'll support the volunteers to get the visa in case is necessary and also to get their residence permit in Romania.
We will host or coordinate only volunteers between 18 - 30 years old.

Formação: The volunteers will get appropriate training from our organization stuff or volunteers in order to be able to fulfill their tasks. We'll deliver to them trainings in projects writing, non formal education, ICL but also in web software, film editing, newspaper and radio-online. In concordance with the YiA program and EVS charter all the volunteers will be involved in all these activities together with stuff or volunteers of our NGO. We'll take all the right measures to assure the volunteer a proper learning environment. Thus the volunteers will be encouraged to develop their own projects based on their hobbies, ideas and competences.
We expect that the volunteers will run language courses in the schools and high schools from our town and the localities around it and also for our volunteers, using nonformal education tools. Also we expect that the volunteers will help in the development of our NGO organizational management.
