Resumo: NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION "SVETIONIK" ("LIGHTHOUSE") was founded in March 2001 in Bar. It has 250 members NGO "Svetionik" carries out its activities both in Montenegro and outside its borders.

AIM OF OUR ORGANIZATION: Improvement of the life quality of children and youth as well as every individual in the family throughout adequate education.

MISSION: Improvement of the life quality of children and youth through public advocacy programs, education, organizing youth camps, raising awareness of the rights of children and youth, providing services of whole-day stay for children and developing programs that contribute to quality, organized and creative life of youth. Members of our organization are youngsters, pupils and students, parents, teachers etc. We are the founders of the SEECRAN in Montenegro (South-Eastern European Child Rights Action Network). Beside this membership, we are part of RNC Network, Youth Montenegro group, Monolit, Blue Flag, Council of MANS (Network for Affirmation of NGO Sector). We also take part in the coordinating group working on the Action plan for Children in Bar, and a member of the Board for creating the National Plan for Youth in Montenegro. We are associates in the project "Gra?anin" of MANS for Bar, where we perform introduction to citizens of models of participation in decision making foresaw in the Law for Local Authorities. We have good cooperation with local, national and international NGOs, Educational and Public institutions and Cultural Centers in our country. All our activities have media campaigns.

NGO "Svetionik" has been elected by other NGOs from Bar to enter the group of five NGOs that are going to fight for affirmation and better position of Non-Governmental Sector in Bar. NGO "Svetionik" has 4 employees with big experience in NGO sector, passing big number of educations (director, teachers, and administrator), ten project activists on various projects and lots of local and national volunteers which are included in our projects.

Perfil: To take part of this project, it’s important that the volunteers are:
- Creative, sociable and flexible;
- Patient with children;
- Able to work independently and in a team, willing to take initiative;
- Motivated to learn some principles of child psychology;
- Willing to learn more about Montenegrin’s culture and language.

Tarefas: During the project, the volunteers will have the chance to do the following tasks:
- Decorating the kindergarten’s space;
- Planning creative workshops for the children;
- Helping feeding the children and putting them to sleep;
- Giving English lessons to the children;
- Helping with the organization and cleaning of the kindergarten;
- Planning artistic and cultural activities for children and their families;
- Promoting EVS across schools and universities in Montenegro.

Condições: Volunteers will stay in an apartment in the center of the city, a few minutes away from the kindergarten, the beach, shops and cafes.

They will receive a 100€ allowance for food and they can have breakfast and lunch in the kindergarten with the children.
