Resumo: Project environment
The projects will take place in Oradea and the regions nearby, that means that the activities can take place both in urban and rural environment.
Oradea is the capital city of Bihor County, in Cri?ana, Transylvania, Romania. The city has a population of 204,477.
It is one of the more prosperous cities in Romania. Positioned on the Hungarian border, the city is home to the University of Oradea, one of the largest and most modern universities in the country.
The city is beautiful and has many tourist attractions: a rich collection of Art Nouveau architecture, the fortress of Oradea, museums, theater, philarmonic and the neighborhood to Baile Felix.
The population is composed mostly of Romanians (70%) and Hungarians (27%). There are also small communities of Roma, Hebrew ,Germans, Slovaks and Ukrainians.
Visitors can come to Oradea by using car, bus, train or airplane.
Perfil: The process of recruitment and selection of the volunteers will be transparent and there will be done no discriminations. All the vacancies will be promoted via e-groups: eurodesk_info@yahoogroups.com; european-youth-exchanges@yahoogroups.com; EVSpartners@yahoogroups.com, European_Youth_NGO_Network@yahoogroups.com. The parner organizations will also be informed regarding these vacances.
The profile of the volunteers we are going to host is the following:
-age between 18 and 30 years
- minimum level of English
-interested in working in our project and in having an international experience
After receiving the CV and motivation letters, based on volunteers profile, there will be held interviews via Skype with the volunteers. The Sending organization will also be consulted..
The volunteers with less opportunities (social exclusion, economic difficulties,cultural and geographical differencies, less access to educational system) will have priority . Unfortunately at this moment we can not offer suitable conditions for youngsters with disabilities.
The volunteers selected will be informed regarding all the details of the project.
Tarefas: The volunteers will work in projects together with other young people, with different ethnicity, educational background and culture. Every volunteer will be encouraged to come up with new ideas and share his/her thoughts, to explore and develop his capabilities and skills.
They will have the opportunity to learn Romanian language, learn about our customs and traditions and also to play an active role in the community where the project will take place.
AIV will organize seminars where the volunteers will discuss how they can support their home community after participating to EVS.
The volunteers will be involved in all the activities during all stages: planning, implementation and evaluation.
The volunteer will have the following learning opportunities:
- organizing and taking part in different campaigns regarding volunteering, nature conservation, sustainable development, social responsibility, human rights, inter-religious dialogue, social exclusion, EU citizenship, culture and arts.
- Making documentaries
- photography and plastic art exhibitions
- Organizing trainings, workshops and seminars
- Creating promotion materials
- Creating web-sites, e-groups, etc.
- Participating to study visits.
