Resumo: PROJECT ENVIRONMENT:

The projects will take place in Rustavi, Georgia. Rustavi is a town located 30 km from capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Population 117 000. Rustavi is an industrial town, there is a very easy way to connect with any part of Georgia, road traffic is well developed. Here are many international and national banks, big supermarkets, cafe etc. Good phone (cell) communication. High speed Internet connection is easily available for residents.

SIQA is located in the main avenue of Rustavi. All kind of local transports are available from that area. Within the SIQA's staff there are persons with big experience in EVS program, they can make the proper personal support for EVS volunteer.

For the last 7 years Peace Corp volunteers (form USA) are also involved in organizational work and ongoing programs. Local volunteers before or after EVS programs also are continuing work as a volunteers within the organization.

SIQA is working 6 days per week, but EVS volunteer will work around 30 hours per week during 5 days, Monday to Friday, will have 2 days-off per week and 2 more days of holidays per month through the duration of the project, to be taken upon agreement between the volunteer and NGO team.

Perfil: - aged from 18 to 30 years, with no discriminations.
- some experience in civic education that support civic clubs.
- Good knowledge of English language will give volunteer possibility to support English teachers with access clubs/lessons.

Tarefas: - Working with Rustavi schools Civic Club's leaders on the weekly meeting in SIQA. Consulting and supporting Clubs in planning and implementing civic and community activities, supporting them with preparing proposals for small grants.
- Presentations for Civic Clubs about the volunteer's Home country, civic and community activities and involvement young people in it.
- Connecting the Rustavi schools Civic Clubs with EVS volunteer's home country's schools by skype & video conferences, or e-mail making tem Pen-Pal friends.
- Facilitation of RYA and EUROCLUB meeting
- Cinema sessions for youth with followed discussions (the topics of the movies would be European values, tradition, civic awareness etc)
- Facilitating of English Teachers in ACCESS - program lessons and enrichment activities
- Making short movies about the topics of "5 most interesting things I met in Georgia" or/and "5 things I mostly like in Georgia". The movies will be presented for Rustavi and Kvemo Kartli young people, would be posted on SIQA's web-site and the F|cebook on SIQA's blogs, on the Youtube and other tools of Social media.
- Making the Photo exhibitions - monthly renewed exhibitions - 10 pictures taken by volunteers during the service. Exhibitions will be posted in SIQA's office. At the end of the project pictures will be collected and might be presented at the secondary schools or public schools. Rustavi NGO representatives, Educational Centres stuff and local authorities will be invited for the exhibition opening ceremony.

Many options will be always available for volunteer's personal projects, all together and with mentor's assistance his/her project will be developed. It might be summer camps, youth projects, being developed with new group of study or something else. Volunteer will never be given tasks beyond his/her abilities, and most of the time volunteer will work together with his/her supervisor.

Condições: Selection will be conducted in accordance with their CV and motivation. Very possible to organize video conference between SIQA and EVS candidates via Skype or Gmail video conversation (in case if volunteer has an Internet connection in his/her country)

Support for the volunteers:
The additional support would be provided for volunteers with special need: SIQA will offer them the technical support (cell phones, PC computers in the office, 10% of volunteers travel cost); Vulnerable volunteers generally have some education difficulties, as SIQA is non formal educational centre we have human and technical resources to organize educational trainings and workshops according volunteers needs: IT technologies, Social Networking, Language lessons (enriched format), effective communications, conflict management, Project Circle management, Debate technique etc..
