Resumo: Project will take place in Cracow. Our ofce is located next to the old centre of Cracow. Our members and benecent are mostly
the high school and university students and youth workers. They are very active and open-minded. We are cooperating with
different NGOs and community centers from Cracow and Malopolska.. During the project the volunteer will work with the local
community, mainly students and young people working in different NGOs located in Krakow. It will be also often in contact with
members of our association, as well as many foreign volunteers and interns hosted in Krakow in the frame of various European
programs such as Leonardo da Vinci or Erasmus program.
The society of Krakow is a diverse society as the society of many major European cities. However, our volunteers will be
working mainly with young people.
Cracow is a city in the southern Poland, with about 1 million inhabitants. City is always full of students and young people,
cause we have very big university. Cracow is also called cultural capital of Poland, as there are plenty of cultural events,
exhibitions, concerts, lot of monuments and sign of national heritage e.t.c. There are many youth organizations and NGOs
working on the European field also. Many leading personalities of Polish academic, cultural and public life were born here
andmany famous artists and writers choose to live here, attracted by unique atmosphere of the place enlivened by old traditions.

Tarefas: By this project Strim Association wants to develop and promote the voluntary service, especially but not only the EVS by
showing possibilities which can be given by youth-mobility programs. Our association works in the field of intercultural
education. The activities carried out by the volunteer will complement and creatively develop the work normally carried
out by our association. For this purpose our volunteer will carry out same tasks imposed by our association ( as the blog, the
e-grupe and forum) and in parallel he/she will be asked to propose his/her own new proposals.
The Volunteer will promote the EVS, gave information and meet with polish people interested in participating in EVS, sharer
his/her experiences. He/she will write the EVS BLOG http://www.europejskiwolontariusz.blog.pl/ – kind of volunteer diary on
the web site with observations and reflections about living in Poland and about intercultural differences. The blog will be
the tool for sharing the opinions about the intercultural learning. On this blog the readers could find not only the volunteer’s
impressions but also the volunteer’s works as for ex. the guide for the international volunteers (a kind of booklet for the future
volunteers arriving to KrakAlw), interviews, photos, films ets. The volunteer will complete this collection of information and ad
his/her own propositions important for the future volunteers in Cracow. The volunteer will also promote his/her own blog by
sending the links to different NGO’s in Poland and abroad.
He/she will be also the moderator of the different tools like ″EVS yahoo group‴ and a ″EVS volunteer’s forum‴ which have
been created by volunteers working in this position previously. A lot of persons are using those tools, these web realities
are working quite good and the volunteer should continue keep them actual in order to create an always bigger system of
communication in this field.
The volunteer will be asked to enter into contact with various media to promote the activities of our association and EVS in
Krakow by giving the interviews in radios and by working in co-operation with the newspapers in Cracow. The volunteer will
prepare the materials for our website aimed at the promotion of the results of the EVS projects
About new ideas the project gives a lot of space for creating his/her own projects, to be creative and innovative. He/she
can develop and uses his/her abilities in this field, creating different projects concerning the promotion connected with what
he/she likes more: media, photo, video, literature, sports and more. All the abilities that the volunteer already has can be
improved and used by the work in STRIM office.
The volunteer will be supervised but often he/she will be expected to work alone. In the preparation of materials, the volunteer
will at all times be given the necessary guidance by the members of association.
The presence of international volunteer in our association, his/her work for voluntary service and international education will
be a real and fundamental stage in our occupation. The volunteer will be also the link between the volunteers that are working
in STRIM’s different projects by the same time and the workers of our association, giving info, helping in the organizations of
the events, involving them in the meetings of our organization. What more the volunteer is a very good connection between us,
as the coordinating organization and other volunteers in Cracow. Often, when the volunteers have some issues, problems
or ideas, they share them in unofficial way between each other. Thanks for our volunteer we can also know more about our
group of volunteers.
The volunteer will also be a part of our office staff. As the main idea of our association is the European integration and
coordination of local actions here, we want our volunteer to take active participation in all actions conducted by STRIM.
Among such actions there are: local event connected with interculturalism, regional day of the voluntarism, organization of
occasional meetings for STRIM members and ‴STRIM friends‴. As all our staff the volunteer will share tasks and duties
connected with them. Even though it is not the most important thing for the local integration, however we want to underline
that the volunteer will be also a member of the staff, what means also sharing office works with other workers.
Volunteers working time will be 30 ours/week form 10 till 17 hour (with around one hour lunch break). Saturdays and Sundays
, Easters and Christmas ( the National Days) is a free time. Sometimes the hours might change slightly, but if i.e. the volunteer
works longer one day due to activities organized by STRIM, he/she can take these hours off from weekly time table. The
non-formal course of polish language is once a week during all EVS project.

Condições: Our organization is open to work with any partner. We don’t have any expectations about the type of sending organization
we want to cooperate with. The volunteer has to be easy-going and open-minded, with sense of humor and of course with
motivation and a positive attitude. He/she has to be able to work alone. He/she has to be motivated to learn Polish language
and to discover Polish culture. No previous knowledge or experience is required, although the basic knowledge of internet and
media ( making short lms, inserting the ms and photos on the blog) will be good to facilitate his/her work.
Volunteers will apply to our hosting organizations via the online base of hosting projects across the Europe Union. Sending
Organizations will coordinate the rst type of selection. In thin one the volunteers will check if he/she will fulll the most general
of Youth In Action European Voluntary Service criteria. Final selection will be made by our association. It is crucial for us, what
are the interests of the volunteers and what is their motivation for this particular project.
