Resumo: EVS volunteers are, first of all, a way to strengthen inter-cultural environment and approach in our work on a daily base. Through the presence of international volunteers in our office and in our daily activities, we can put into practice our ideas and working concepts. The volunteers will be a human resource for our work, meaning that they will come with new ideas, different cultural background and experiences thus contributing to improve InformaGiovani’s work and, consequently, to increase the quality and impact on target groups.

Of course, being volunteers who are not required to play a professional role, they won’t be required to have specific professional competencies.

In the same time, volunteers will act as social actors inside the local community, being testimonials of the positive aspects of European programmes and European integration and thus becoming promoters of social awareness about the impact of EU policies in the daily life of citizens.

Tarefas: •Boat of legality”

Every year round the 23rd of May, some 3.000 students from all over Italy reach the city by boats to joing the ceremonies of commemoration of Judge Giovanni Falcone, killed by mafia.
The boat of legality is foresaw by a long list of activities all over Italy on education to legality and active citizenship promotion.

Supporting this activity toward this event, will give volunteers the opportunity to deeply touch the grassroots antimafia educational work and will give them organizational skills and competencies, plus an extremely emotional enriching experience.

Condições: Volunteers will live in an apartment; they can share with EVS from other projects. Both common and private rooms will be provided in order to facilitate socialization but also respect privacy of all the volunteers.
The volunteers will manage the apartment by themselves and thus will organize their time, according to the project needs and the Programme rules, enhancing their personal growth.
