Resumo: In the recent years, the "On the Way" Association has gained considerable experience in organizing international youth mobility projects, including international youth exchange programs, seminars, trainings in which we have participated an do so both as sending and as hosting organization. We think that the EVS program is perfectly fits to the goals of our organization.

In our environment we constantly meet active, motivated and talented young persons. After recognizing their personality we realize that the volunteership would procure their development, would help their future successful integration to the labour-market and also would give assistance to create their fruitful way of life.

In international exchange programs, contact making seminars, trainings and at events for NGOs we meet active young volunteers who are involved in the work of non-governmental organizations, helping them with planning and organizing local and international programs in the framework of the European Voluntary Service. In these programs we are reached by several youngsters whose desire to try and develop themselves through volunteership.

We have made contact with several organizations that are actively involved in hosting and working with volunteers, we give advice and support each other by sharing ideas. Colleagues from our association have been taken part several national and international trainings where they have learnt about strategies and ways how to prepare volunteers and also about the whole process of the EVS project. They made fruitful international contacts which helped the sending and hosting procedure to be more personal and dependable.

Our organization has successfully applied to organize an EVS pre-departure training last year in September. During the program we have gained considerable experience concerning the needs and expectations of the volunteers and we got new ideas for ways of integrating their work and their personality as efficiently as possible, in order to make this experience worthwhile both for them and for our organization.

The youth who take part in youth exchanges gain significant experiences, which offer sources for their future long-term plans. We think that it is very important for them to achieve their purposes effectively. The EVS is a perfect possibility for this, which we emphasize for them.

Their participation in EVS programs means not only intercultural- and life- but work experience too, even in their privacy, their own community, their informal groups and they can also use their experiences during the work of our association.

As far as the expected positive effects of such activities are concerned, our association considers the actual activity of the volunteers going abroad and coming home, their experiences which help forming groups in the society and develop the sensibility of the young people related to or actively involved in the work of the organization to participate in similar projects.

Perfil: We would like to host 2 volunteers (a girl and a boy)!We are a dynamic and enthusiastic young workgroup, we are waiting for
same youngsters.

Our country – Debrecen – is very interesting. There are a lot of programs, leisure opportunities and as
Debrecen is one of the university centers in Hungary, there are a lot of youngsters from foreign countries.

We require English skills at the basic level and ability to speak and communicate
well and computer user skills needed also.

Tarefas: The aim of the project to prepare youth what can be do after school.

You will participate and organize these programs:
1. What’s up? – Presentations, programs to realize their opportunities after school (work, study, volunteering…).
2. Intercultural club – Presentations about favourite countries.
3. Language club – Practise the language with other youth through games.
4. Geocaching – Learn about the values and beauties of our country.
5. Your own program – Volunteers have the opportunity to make their own programs.

We would like if you use your creativity during the project!
Besides these activities you can participate in other youth programs and in our association’s life.
