Resumo: The project will take part in the agglomeration called Tricity which consists of three neighboring cities: the historical city of Gdansk, modern Gdynia and wonderful Sopot - the city of artists. There are large number of historical and picturesque places. Total number of citizens in Tricity is over 700 000 people. Main part of the project will be held in Gdansk - big city with 456 000 inhabitants situated on the cost of Baltic Sea.

Volunteer will be mostly involved in activities organized in Gdansk. However, there are some actions like trainings and seminars which are organized in the all Pomeranian Region. That is why volunteer will travel together with project coordinator (2-4 excursions per month for max 2 days each).

Volunteer will also work in the office with mainly young people in age of 20-30 involved in Eurodesk and Europe Direct Information Points. Working centre consists of 7 offices, trainings and conferences rooms, kitchen, toilet and magazine all at 600m2. Headquarter of Association is placed in city centre of Gdansk.

We are searching a volunteer who will be working with children, youth and adults. We are cooperating with schools, youth organizations and other public institutions.

Volunteer will be obligate to work from Monday till Friday. According to polish rules there are free working religious days (like Christmas) and state holidays (like Independent Day). All the overtime hours can be also taken in the time appropriate for volunteers and organization.

Perfil: Our project is open for young people who wants to be volouteers and who is not under 18 years old.

We are looking for a person who is dynamic, creative, sociable, patient and who knows what she/he wants to do. This person should also want to cooperate with youth organizations and youth (e.g. scout moovement) as well as to work with children (e.g. in kindergartens, schools).

Our european volouteer should also be not afraid of traveling and have no bad habits.

We would like to host a person with interesting hobbies, motivated, with his/her own ideas, open for different cultures and people and willing to learn Polish. The volounteer should be able to work in a team, be flexible and creative.

We are lookig for non-smokers because we have some groups who we want to teach that life without any addiction is possible (according to scouts rules).

Tarefas: 1. European lessons Each year we deliver hundreds of lessons for teenagers, pupils in schools during which we present them possibilities they have thanks to European Union. We provide lessons about voluntary service, studies abroad, working abroad, youth have voice etc.

2. Meetings in different cities in Pomerania region Together with 25 organizations/institutions from Pomerania region we are biggest in whole Europe network of European youth information points Eurodesk. We strongly cooperate with each other. EVS volunteer will have a chance to visit those points and organize activities for youths from local communities about country volunteer comes from, about what does it mean to be volunteer etc.

3. Language lessons for older people Our activities are mainly devoted to young people however we also organize some activities for seniors, especially language lessons. During the project you will have a chance to organize whole course in your mother tongue or English for seniors.

4. Workshops for youths If you have any skills you would like to share: you can dance, draw etc. we will organize together workshops for youngsters you will lead. Additionally you will be involved in events we organize occasionally like city game for few hundreds of people which promote European Union, trainings.

You will support us also in our daily office work, take photos during events we organize, help with logistic issues etc.

Horário: Working hours for volunteers approximately 5-6 hours a day.

Condições: Volunteers accommodation is situated in the building of our Association, together with offices (volouteer's rooms are located on the second floor and officces on the ground and first floor). Volunteers will be accommodate in the rooms of two people, approximately 20m2 big, together with bathroom. Kitchen will be shared with all EVS volunteers living in the headquater.
