Resumo: The house has existed for many years, is visited by children and young people with pleasure and is acknowledged in the community. The Youth Centre focuses on: meeting place for children and young people, the girl day, chess, film club, disco team, athletic offers, computers, Internet and the vacation program. In the house work a masculine employee and a feminine co-worker as well as a few honorary employees.

Perfil: The volunteer should be in particular communicative and not afraid of learning new people. He should have the ability to work in a team. It would be good if she/ he had already experiences in the work with children and young people. Creativity and ideas as well as a particular initiative are needed. Computer knowledge and contact with Internet are helpful. We cooperate with every sending-organization. Organizations which work with children and young people and have experiences in the work with foreign young people would be useful.

Tarefas: The volunteer should bring an international atmosphere in the centre. It should help young people to learn about other countries, cultures and different kind of living. Lotte is a little place and the young people from there have rarely been abroad. For that reason the meeting and learning about other neighbour countries is necessary and reasonable. The volunteer is bound into the team, through that he learns the organization of pedagogical target plans and their conversion. He has an important role as a voluntary employee and will be prepared and accompanied for a responsible activity. The volunteer is looked after through a mentor with whom he comes together to regular meetings during the entire duration of the service. The volunteer will be supported by the team in order to be integrated into the project, into the coun-try and into the culture. The volunteer is also encouraged, to bring his own ideas, creativity and experiences in the evolution of the project.The work of the volunteer will concentrate on their inter-ests. He will take part in all activities of the centre. The detailed tasks of theirs are: - Being a contact person. - Offering leisure activities (for instance: music, video, computer,darts). - Support of young people using internet. - support of the boys project. - Working in the field of youth information and European awareness. - Arranging a play scheme for children and a summer camp in the holiday time. The project takes 30 hours a week. The work times will be discussed with a mentor at the of the project.

Condições: The supporting organization provides an appropriate accommodation possibility for the volunteer. According to the place of the project, the volunteer will live in Ibbenbüren or Westerkappeln in a dwelling, which many volunteers are sharing or in the accommodation of the clinical center Ibbenbüren. Here the volunteer has its own room, kitchen and a bath are common rooms, which are available for several persons.
