Resumo: This is an organisation working in the field of youth related issues, training of multipliers in youth work, drug prevention, theater and culture for and with young people and has always understood its obligation in the promotion and lobbying of youth issues in the county of Salzburg.

In our organisation you can find different kinds of departments (promotional character, specialized on the training of multipliers, events, youth information, etc.). Our volunteer has the chance to get to know two different teams at our organisation: S-Pass Youth Card and the Youth Information. The volunteer will be shared among those two teams and s/he will be encouraged to be a link to our common projects. Though being two different areas of work the teams are connected – therefor we try to motivate our volunteers to develop an own project during their 12-month service which covers ideas of both teams.

S-Pass:
The team of S-Pass Youth Card deals with the promotion of the youth card all over Salzburg. Primary tasks are spreading infos on the card among young people (during school tours or events) and finding and taking care of sponsoring. These tasks allow the volunteer to get in touch with young people. Another big part at the team of S-Pass is the permanent xxx of the S-Pass database which holds all info on reductions, special offers, cinema programs, etc.

Youth Information:
The team at the youth info centre is a competent info service for young people, multipliers and parents on any kind of youth related issue (working, education, going abroad, youth rights, freetime in Salzburg, living in Salzburg, etc.). The youth info offers opening hours from 12.30 – 17.30, Monday till Friday nearly all year long. Additionally the youth info organises own events (such as our own summer open air cinema in july and august) and is an appreciated guest at info events, schools and festivals all over Salzburg.

Tarefas: European Voluntary Service is divided in two different teams at the department Youth Service. One team works for the S-Pass (Salzburg’s youth card which is an offical age ID as well as a card that offers young people in Salzburg many reductions in museums, buses, at freetime activities as skiing or swimming and driving schools) the other is the Youth Information Centre near the old town of Salzburg. The EVS volunteer supports both teams (S-Pass and Youth Information Centre) for 30h/week, Monday – Friday (weekends and late-night hours will take place according to our projects and will be communicated soon enough to the volunteer). Typical activities: EVS at the department akzente Youth Service means office as well as event support. Office: - printing brochures - small maintainance work - blog writing - basic computer work - rendering movie files - database - CMS: homepage updates Events: - taking fotos - promoting S-Pass - assisting in workshops - small maintainance + carrying - filming Our volunteer will get a great inside on how a professional youth organisation (with its many different ways of working for young people) is run and how concept writing and event managing in the field of youth work works. We can offer the volunteer support in learning CMS-systems, concept writing, video making, photografing, handling of workshops, blog writing, etc.
