Resumo: Project of ADP-Zid will take place in Podgorica, capital city of Montenegro. It's the city with around 200 000 habitants. Podgorica is located in central Montenegro. The area is crossed with rivers and the city itself is only 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) north of Lake Skadar. Although the city is located some 50km away from Mediterranean Adriatic Sea, the proximity of Dinaric Alps on the north alters its climate. Podgorica has an altered Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and windy and rainy winters. From ancient times, the Montenegrin territory has been a ground where numerous cultures and interests intersected, mingled and opposed one another. Preliminary results of the 2003 census show the following structure: 273,366 Montenegrins (40.64%), 28,714 Muslims (4.27%), 201,892 Serbs (30.10%), 47,682 Albanians (7.09%), 7,062 Croats (1.05%), 63,272, Bosnians (9.41%), 2.875 Roma (0.43%) and others. ADP-Zid is non profit and non-governmental organisation which exist since 1996. and which was established like student organisation but during the time we changed our field of interest. Our main aim now is to develop society trough positive activity. One of those activities, which can strengthen our community, is voluntarism and ADP-Zid try to promote this value on national level. Therefore our organisation is also initiator of development of National Strategy for Voluntarism in Montenegro. Different number of people is working in ADP - Zid (depending on the year and number of projects) but not less then 5 regularly employed - which are responsible for different programs and tasks, and around 50 local volunteers. All regularly employed are always trained to work with volunteers - since ADP - Zid has a National Voluntary Centre in its structure. As one of the programe ADP - Zid has established also, Local Voluntary Centre and work with local volunteers is very present and important. Even the organisation is situated in Podgorica, it also works on national level, and big part of the activities are done in other cities in Montenegro - sometimes in cooperation with local organizations, sometimes local municipalities, or institutions. In majority of our projects we also involve EVS volunteers and they are working together with local volunteers. As one of the activities of our Local Voluntary Centre we developed Voluntary clubs in 6 different high schools and one of them is high school for children with physical disabilities. EVS volunteers have tasks to promote voluntarism and intercultural learning trough organizing different workshop (intercultural learning, active citizenship, leadership, nonviolence communication, voluntary initiatives …) and prepare young people to be ready to plane and implement their own project.
Perfil: We are looking for young people who have strong motivation and initiative for all activity which are related with our project. Also, they should be interested to give their contribution to development of local society. In that case they need to be intercultural sensitive and try to identify their own place in environment where they can give maximum of themselves. We expect of future volunteers to be open for new experience, ready to learn new thing, to be flexible and independent. For us is also desirable that volunteer have basic knowledge of English language and basic computer skills. To be creative is also big plus. 4. Number of volunteers hosted: " If they are long-term volunteers - 6 to 12 months, we can host 6 of them at the same time. " If they are short-term volunteers - 2 weeks to 2 months, we can host up to 15 of them at the same time. 5. Special needs: ADP -Zid has experience in hosting people without any previous international experience, from rural areas, poor families, and some smaller physical disabilities. But, since our city is not technically equipped enough, we can not ensure mobility level, and because of that good incorporation into society for EVS volunteer with mobility problems. Also, mentorship would be provided, but not enough support for some other more demanding categories.
Tarefas: "EVS volunteers which decide to be part of this project have opportunity to acquire new and increase existing knowledge and skills in different area like: "" working with vulnerable groups, "" working and living in different cultural environment, "" communicant skills and working in international group, "" concepts and values of voluntary work, and policies and legislation on national and international level related to voluntarism; "" communication and computer skills - digital competences, "" improvement of English language skills and learning Montenegrin language - which is extremely similar to Serbian - Bosnian - Croatian, "" learning how civil sector is functioning - civic competences, "" organizational management, "" project design and reporting, "" volunteer management, "" PR - public relations, "" social researches etc. Proposal activity for volunteers: - Assistance in preparing and implementation of educational programs for youth (September - May); - Initiate and developing voluntary action with young people which are member of voluntary clubs in high schools. - Assistance in activities that ADP-Zid organized with local partners: educational workshops, organization of international voluntary camps, mainly related to environment protection, working with children, renovation and integration and bringing international spirit to small communities (June - September); - Promotion of Youth in Action program in Montenegro; - Assistance in preparation and implementation of the events organized by ADP - Zid, campaigns, public events, trainings, seminars, voluntary actions etc. - Preparation of material for web site of ADP-Zid; - Assistance in regular communication and contacts with local volunteers in order to promote services offered by ADP - Zid; - Administrative work in the office. The volunteer is also encouraged to propose some new initiative and implement it, but this must be correlated with mission and program of our organisation. The volunteer will work closely with the project coordinator responsible for Volunteers' Centre and when necessary, with other staff in ADP - Zid. Moreover, ADP - Zid staff will provide all assistance and support to the volunteer whenever needed and the main responsibilities will never be given to the volunteer alone. In other words, ADP - Zid will be providing constant, both professional and personal support to the volunteer.
"

In addition to that, the volunteer will be able to learn and practice local language in a daily work and activities communicating with members of the staff, volunteers and locals. The volunteer will work 5 days a week, 6 hours per day. Working hours for volunteer are from 10.00 a.m. until 16.00 p.m. but it can be flexible which depends of scope of work and the nature of some activities. National holidays are days off.
