Resumo: (Permaculture, Gardening and Café)

The Ecovillage Network of Germany, set up in 2014, is an umbrella organisation working to support the experimental creation and preservation of intentional communities across Germany. The organization serves as an alliance between rural and urban intentional communities. Through the sharing of best practice and innovative solutions, the organization is creating a pool of wisdom for sustainable living on a global scale. Together we develop solutions in the four dimensions of sustainability: ecology, social, culture and economy. In our development we follow a participatory approach and try to create a good balance between personal development, work for the common good and the respect for planetary boundaries.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in sustainability and community living in a rural location. You're open to learn and meet new people as well as motivated to work in the community (permaculture, garden, park, seminar house, café).

Tarefas: The main work will be in kitchen of seminar house or café and houskeeping, helping with the running of our seminar house for up to 150 guests during an event and working in the organic café, which is a meeting place for hikers and local tourists as well as seminar guests and community members.
It’s open only on saturday and sunday during summertime. On the other days, our honor-system kiosk is open. Some hours you will work in garden or park. If you have sufficient German language skills, you can also work in guest services. The exact area in which you will work depends on your language skills, your personal preference and the needs in our community.
Two hours per week you take time for your personal project and one is for mentoring.

Horário: You will be working 30 - 35 hours per week.

Condições: We eat organic and mostly vegetarian and vegan food. When we eat together there is always a vegan option available. As a volunteer you have your own room with en-suite bathroom. You share the kitchen, living room, garden and other facilities with the community. And there is a music studio and a yoga and meditation space, that can be used by everyone.
