Resumo: Our organization works in the field of education where we focus on three main areas:
1. High-quality education for students
2. Character development of students
3. Community building We aim to create an open, creative, and safe space where students grow together and inspire each other. They develop not only their academic knowledge but also soft skills to enrich their personality and build their character within the group.
At our Educational Centre, we work with children from 3 to 15 years old. We use the Montessori method as it helps children stay curious and motivated, allowing mistakes and learning from them. Inclusivity is a vital part of Centre by working with children and families from different backgrounds, countries, and language groups.

Our program centers on fostering an awareness of community, emphasizing virtues, and instilling a strong understanding of personal responsibility. Students are encouraged and actively engaged in volunteer opportunities within the school community and beyond. By participating in these meaningful experiences, our students develop a profound sense of purpose and empathy, preparing them to be compassionate leaders who contribute positively to society.

Perfil: In this project, we are looking for someone ready to take up new challenges and who loves working with children. He/she should be enthusiastic about growing their personal and professional skills and prepared for unexpected experiences. Ideally a participant is at least 21 years old.

Experience in work with children or interest in Montessori education is an advantage but not necessary. Required qualities include: flexibility (work with children requires good adaptability to changes), creativity, open-mindedness, empathy, self-reliance, responsibility for assigned tasks and communication skills in English.

Tarefas: participant will be volunteering at the Educational Centre and community school.

Activities that we offer: working directly with the children and students 3-15 years old, assistance to teachers and educators, teaching English (or other foreign) language, preparing and organising own personal project, activities or workshops, assistance in a school-club with afternoon classes (art, ceramics, music, sport or drama) and accompanying students during Friday’s going out (weekly trip to a gallery, museum or nature - learning outside), participation in a community events (raft, picnic, cycling) and little administrative work (taking photos, creating materials, posters, writing blog).

The hosting organization is a small school located at the central part, an old town, not far from the castle. We work in a small mixed-age groups and use elements of Montessori pedagogy as well as project-based learning (PBL).

Condições: Volunteer will be provided an adequate place to live - in a separate room in a dormitory or in a shared apartment with other volunteers (room can be shared with 1 more person), we do not guarantee a separate room.

The centre provides the volunteer with pocket money, food arrangements, and contribution to local transportation (380 EUR/month) and travel arrangements to and from the city according to the distance calculator.
