Resumo: We are Parco Culturale Alta Langa, and together with Associazione Vagamondo and New Wellness Education we are part of the Vitality Volunteering project. We will be your hosting organisation for the next 12 months, implementing together our activities, supporting you in developing your own ideas, and providing space for personal growth.
The Aim of the project is to bring life to the rural community of Alta Langa and lower Piedmont

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer brings some specific competencies that will support the CO in reaching its goals by helping them to develop their projects. Volunteers also engage in tasks they are not familiar with or don’t have as a main goal a learning return. The Volunteer comes with a spirit of service and dedication to the cause of the organisation.
As a standard activities, the duties and tasks planned are mainly the following:

LOCAL DEVELOPMENT SECTOR:
Promote Tourism
Support in managing the hostel and tourist office to attract attention to unique culture and historical heritage of the region. The volunteers will be involved in basic tasks and support the functioning and promotion of the venues.


Environmental Sustainable Development
Promotion of bio-agriculture, use of bicycles and e-bikes as the main means of transport for local transfers in order to promote green mobility, promotion of outdoor activities in contact with nature, to reconnect with it and with oneself, building a functioning recycling system. Also taking care of local trails, together with the municipality of Monesiglio (and villages around) and local volunteers,we will take care of cleaning forest trails of Alta Langa and of organizing local events to valorise them and rediscover them with the local population.
Supporting in nurturing grapevines and unlocking the alchemy of winemaking. Exploring vineyards with organic cultivation.


Boost Representation of the Area in the Media
Promotion and visibility of the area using the media channels of the organization and partners involved. The volunteers will take care of social media and promote tourist opportunities as well as Youth Mobilities opportunities.


Festivals and cultural activities
Volunteers will have the chance to propose and take care of the organization of artistic activities managed by them or new cultural events organized in the village and in the facilities of the town. The role of the volunteers will be to cooperate and support the organizers of these events, improve its efficiency and expand their offer.


Local Youth
Volunteer will get involved in educational and intercultural activities for the local youth of Alta Langa and Cuneo Province, in cooperation with the schools and other entities of the territory.


Connecting with Local Communities
Volunteer will also be catalyzers of bottom-up processes of involvement of local community, getting involved in the development of participatory processes, as well connecting international projects to local youth, interviewing local people about traditions.
Rural development
Volunteer will get involved in other activities related to the development of the rural area of Alta Langa and aimed at fighting depopulation.


Other Locations
Volunteers may be involved in activities focused on the main topic of this project that are located in other places. That involvement will be secondary.


Personal project:
In the framework of their learning goals and according to the values, mission and goals of Parco Culturale Alta Langa and Associazione Vagamondo, each volunteer will be invited to carry out their own personal project. The volunteer will have the freedom to decide which project to carry out and how to develop it during the 12 months of volunteering. The personal project is a complementary activity with a dedicated budget of 100€. The main involvement of the volunteers is on the International and Local tasks described above.


INTERNATIONAL SECTOR:
The volunteers will support Parco Culturale Alta Langa in the development of youth exchanges, training courses and volunteering in Monesiglio, Bergolo and abroad.
The tasks will include:
- Communications with partner organisations, local partners and volunteers
- Visibility of the projects on the media, social media of the HO and face-to-face
- Selection of participants and preparation of the projects with them
- Practical aspects and logistic
- Facilitation of workshops and non-formal activities
- Planning and project management
- Small maintenance and manual work
Promotion of youth opportunities:
Volunteers will promote the international opportunities for young people and for the Youth Sector available within the ESC and Erasmus + program, they will focus on the municipalities of Alta Langa and lower Piedmont through meetings in high schools, universities, organizations and other public and private spaces. This will increase the access to youth opportunities of young people who live in rural areas. They will also organize visibility expeditions in nearby cities.


The roles and tasks described above will be carried out over the full duration of the volunteering and will be distributed according to the annual work plan and seasonal needs of the hosting organisation. Therefore, during certain periods the volunteer may focus more on one sector (e.g., festivals/events, hostel and tourist office, youth mobilities), while in other periods their involvement may shift to other areas, ensuring a balanced learning path and continuous support to the project’s priorities.
