Resumo: (maternity centre)
The hosting organization is a maternity center. There are 2 internal workers and around 4 external workers. We provide
around 6 different afternoon activities for preschool kids 2,5 - 7 y.o. and workshops for the parents.

The aim of the project is to get children 2,5 - 6 y.o. into regular contact with volunteers and increase their awareness of other countries, cultures and languages. Support for foreign language teaching and breaking down intercultural barriers. Likewise, offer the volunteer the opportunity to participate in the life of the local community and understand our habits.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Volunteer is involved in the day-to-day activities of the organization.

- regular afternoon lessons - sports, music, dance, art, …. activities (October - May) - helping with preparation and cleaning before and after lessons
- events for the public - celebrations, workshops, city festivities (also on weekends)
- summer camps (July - August) also with kids 6 - 17 y.o.
- language lessons in local basic and high schools - presentations about yourself, the project and your country (September - June)
- language lessons for the public in your native language or english (depends on volunteer - open lessons for public - adults) (September - June)
- helping with preparation for b-day parties (decoration)

Horário: - working hours 32-36 / a week

Condições: What is paid:


travel costs - according to the European calculator
pocket money (7€ per day)
food money (160 Czech crown per day - around 6€)
accommodations (room in organization)

Accommodation:

a volunteer has a private room directly in the organization / soc. facilities / kitchen are shared with workers during day
The maternity center is located in the building with a special school, a shelter for mothers with kids, and a social center. Maternity center is on the second floor of the building.
