Resumo: ( leisure centre)

The hosting organization is a leisure center. There are 6 internal workers and around 30 external workers. We provide more than 60 different afternoon activities for school kids 6 - 17 y.o. and workshops for the public.
We also run the maternity center in our town where we work with preschool kids 2,5 - 6 y.o. and parents.

The aim of the project is to get children 6 - 17 y.o. into regular contact with volunteers and increase their awareness of other countries, cultures and languages. Support for foreign language teaching and breaking down intercultural barriers. Likewise, offer the volunteer the opportunity to participate in the life of the local community and understand our habits.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer is involved in the day-to-day activities of the organization.

- regular afternoon lessons - sports, music, dance, art, …. activities (October - May)
- events for the public - celebrations, workshops, city festivities (also on weekends)
- summer camps (July - August)
- language lessons in local basic and high schools - presentations about yourself, the project and your country (September - June)
- language lessons for the public in your native language or english (depends on volunteer - open lessons for public - adults) (September - June)
- program for children in an open Flash club (your own ideas) - Mo - Th - 11:45 - 14:30/15:00

Horário: - working hours 32-36 / a week

Condições: What is paid:


travel costs - according to the European calculator
pocket money (7€ per day)
food money (160 Czech crown per day /approx 6€)
accommodations (room in organization - can be shared with other volunteer)

Accommodation:

a volunteer has a room directly in the organization (alone or sharing with one person, depends how many volunteers we host in the same time)
soc. facilities and kitchen is shared with workers during day, with kids or activities in the afternoon
