Resumo: (elderly people)
The organization is a nursing home. The nursing home has 231 beds, approved by Social Welfare and operating under the EHPAD agreement. The association's mission is to enable elderly residents to live this difficult period of their lives as fully and comfortably as possible, regardless of their disability (mental or physical). We wanted to welcome volunteers to further this mission. The volunteers' presence complements the work of the professionals (accommodation, medical care, and activities) who support the residents.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer's mission will be to get to know the elderly, to listen to them, to elicit their memories, to be interested in their history, to talk to them about themselves, their life, their projects, their way of understanding the world and their desire to be outside their country, outside their family.

He will also be required to accompany the most autonomous residents in their external movements.
In addition to these accompanying actions, the volunteer will be entrusted with various missions. Such as wrapping birthday presents for the whole year, distributing mail in the rooms to meet the residents, etc.
The most repetitive but essential task is to motivate, stimulate and remind the residents of the activities every day (even several times a day), to go and get the residents in their rooms and then to accompany them to the animation rooms.
The mornings are devoted to individual contacts and the afternoons to group activities.
All the activities are entrusted to the volunteer under the responsibility of his tutor and the professionals of the animation.
