Resumo: (environment)
The Organization began functioning in August 2000. The purpose of our organization is the utilization of free time, informing young people about international and national programs, and the encouragement of participation.
Our organization has a great motivation and interest to offer young people from the local community but also youngsters from different countries a wide range of opportunities and information in order to achieve intercultural experience and widen their European awareness. In this environmental project, the volunteers work with instructors of the municipality for the natural pine forest that is located on the coast of the town.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

We are looking for open-minded people who are interested in taking care of nature, exploring a new country and being active members of the local community.

Tarefas: in this environmental project, the volunteers work with instructors of the municipality for the natural pine forest that is located on the coast of the town.

The main tasks of the volunteers are:
- protection of the forest and the coast on a weekly basis (keep theforest and the beach cleanfrom trash)
- taking care if the natural environment of the town
- support the environmental activities of the municipality
- taking care of parks, the small harbour, the squares, and the playground in the forest
- participating in activities that are prepared for and by the local community according to seasonal needs
- support and participate in events an activities of the youth information office promoting the esc program
- volunteers are free to propose their environmental activities and organize their personal projects related to main goal of the project.

Horário: the working hours are between 08.00 to 13.00 depending on the daily plan, as for th tasks, they are given by a municipality office, each day or as a weekly schedule, They cover seasonal needs and they mostly support the main activites of the municipality´s teams.

Condições: Accommodation: The short-term group of volunteers will live alltogether in Orfeas' home, a flat in the centre of the town.

The volunteers are responsible for keeping the flat clean, setting a cleaning schedule and following it.
