Resumo: Várpalota is a small region in the Central Transdanubian Region, located east of the County Veszprém. The small region, Várpalota is located at foot of the hill Bakony, not too far from Lake Balaton and Budapest. 22 thousand people live in Várpalota. Our town, an old mining town, dispose a colourful historical past. Varpalota Youth Centre which occupies part of the ground floor of the András Vásárhelyi Primary School (almost 450m2), is responsible for providing a variety of informal and useful free-time activities for the rising generation. The Youth Centre was established three years ago. So it is a very new and modern building. Since our town has an unusually large proportion of disadvantaged children, the Centre also functions as a home-from-home for many of those living in the locality. Through the establishment of this institution we would like to draw into our orbit the youth of Várpalota so that they can develop themselves, play sports and have fun in a secure and culturally rich environment.The EVS project will take place in Varpalota Youth Centre. The youth centre the place where you can meet friends, make new friends, and learn or try new activities, some of which may be completely new to. Young people can drop in to the youth centre on a Monday to Saturday from 3pm till 8pm, but the most active and busy days are weekends and holidays, when youngsters don't have to go to school. Young People are also able to relax and listen to music or play biliard, table tennis, play board games.

Perfil: The volunteer should be interested or have some experience in working with children; should be kind, communicative, reliable, friendly, open-minded, helpful and direct.There are no gender, age and other requirements for the selection/recruitment of volunte

Tarefas: We are offering space for activities and resources to implement volunteers ideas and responsiveness from local youngsters. We are expecting that volunteer will be equal to our youngsters in activities, which includes taking part in planning activities, organizing activities, sharing experience between host youth initiative centre and EVS volunteers in non-formal education. We would like to support daily work and help with certain activities of our organization. We expect that volunteer would teach his native language to local youngsters, organize workshops about youth culture differences between countries, sports activities, theater, multimedia The volunteer will participate in most activities with the children and have a variety of different tasks. The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in all arts workshops and to support the staff in organizing these activities (painting, sporting, handicrafts, etc.) She/he will establish social contact with individual children and their parents by chats and games. She/he will present her/his country and culture to the children, playing with the children. Social activities, group games etc., outdoor activities. The volunteer will have the task to help organizing an exhibition of the art works of the children on different topics. Organizing sport activities in the territory of the youth centre. The volunteer will be invited to social events and will be supported in learning and practicing hungarian language. The volunteer will work 5 days per week, approximetly 30 hours.
