Resumo: The project of hosting of the voluntary EVS, will develop inside the Centre Youth Information and of the Europe Direct Point of the Municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi. These are two services that the administration of Roseto has respectively activated in 1997 and in 2002 and they operate inside the same structure. It has produced concrete results and profits for the new generations of our territory and not only. The collaboration between the two offices, has allowed the creation of a hosting service which is able to help young people in different ways. During the years the informative patrimony has become wealthy both in quantitative and in qualitative terms. Our daily efforts are finalized, in fact, to guarantee information that are punctual, adjourned, legible, clear, and synthetic, in order to allow the use of the opportunities for young people.
Recognizing the peculiarity of the information as fundamental element of sharing(there is no sharing without information), the Centre Youth Information has promoted, in the last years, different activities and initiatives to increase, in the new generations, a sense of active citizenship and intercultural dialogue, to the solidarity, to the politics in the institutions, to the legality. These are activities that are integrated with the functions of information and orientation developed by the service.
The Europe Direct Point makes part of the net of the informative centres promoted by the Direction General Communication of the European Commission and acts as a mediator between the European union and the citizens to local level; it was mainly born for allowing the local citizens to get information, consultations, assistance and answers to questions on the Institutions, the legislation, the politics, the programs and the possibilities of financing of the European union, to actively promote the local and regional debate on the European union and its politics. Since its birth it has activated different collaborations with the world of the school and the civil society to sensitize the citizens to the themes of the citizenship and the European unification. It is a point of reference in the promotion and in the diffusion of the community politics, not only for the citizens of Roseto, but also for those of the whole territory of the Province of Teramo. Besides, in collaboration with similar other points of European information, in the Regione Abruzzo, which constitute the Net Europe Direct Abruzzo, has promoted different initiatives to regional level among which:
" The "Tavolo regionale di coordinamento UE-Società Civile" was born with the objective to listen to the citizens and their organizations, to make them feel as protagonists of the democratic process of the European construction and to recognize the aid that the EU assures in the fields of action in which it works,;
" "L'Unione europea tutela la vostra salute", that was based on the preparation of informative spaces and distribution of material in all the Hospitals of Abruzzo;
" "Itinerari europei: Lettera all'Europa" was a competition reserved, in individual form, to the pupils of the classes IV and V of the primary schools of the Region Abruzzo and it has been concluded in the Palasport of Roseto in May 9 th 2007 on the occasion of the Party of Europe with the share of 3000 pupils coming from the whole region;
" "Mille domande, una sola Europa" (1st and 2nd edition) a regional competition reserved to the fourth Classes of all the High School of the Region Abruzzo in order to develop activities of learning about the politics of the European union finalized to acquire knowledges that were shared in a challenge, transmitted by a local television channel. The winning class, the IVA pedagogic of the High school Saffo of Roseto degli Abruzzi has had in prize a trip to Bruxelles, from 7 to June 10 th 2008, in visit to the European Institutions: Parliament, Commission, Commission of the Regions, Office of Bruxelles of the Region Abruzzo.

The Centre Youth Information and the Europe Direct Point are situated inside locals of the Municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi. They are endowed with nine Personal Computers all with connection to internet ADSL FLAT; four are reserved to the people. Besides, the town administration makes all the tools and the useful material to the good operation of the services available (three telephone lines, a line fax, photocopier, scanner, other materials, etc.).

Since 2008, Europe Direct is a point on the National Network Euroguidance acting on behalf of the United European Commission - DG Education and Culture - and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Policy - Policy for DG 'Orientation and Training - to promote study experiences, training and work in EU countries. The center is part of the European network in Italy Euroguidance and coordinates the National Network for the Dissemination of gathering facilities and expert guidance in order to ensure widespread dissemination of information on European mobility.

The National Network for the Dissemination Euroguidance is in the first instance, one of the main channels through which to disseminate information materials produced but is also a network of service centres and agencies to develop and promote the European dimension. There are many Euroguidance points in almost all Italian regions and they promote the activities of the European system through their local networks. Each year Euroguidance Italy organizes regular meetings that provide opportunities for exchange and discussion on topics of mutual interest. In this context, are also carried out training seminars on specific topics.Our Offices are situated, inside the Villa Comunale, in Roseto downtown and is easily reachable both with public services and on foot; inside the area of the Villa Comunale is situated also the Town Library which is frequented by the students of Roseto and the other municipality. The Villa Comunale is also used for conferences and for meetings and reunions of coordination for the activities of the two services.
Roseto degli Abruzzi is the greatest Municipality in the Province Of Teramo and counts 23.000 inhabitants. Of the 23,000 inhabitants, 3125 are young between the 18 and the 30 (1538 women, 1587 males); it is situated on the central coast of the Adriatic Sea, it is 189 Kms far from Rome, 26 Kms from Pescara, 131 Kms from Ancona, three towns which are dotated of Airports with international ports, comfortably reachable both by train and by bus.

Roseto has two High Schools: The I.S. Moretti with 1018 affiliates and the High school Classical Saffo with 1072 affiliates (scholastic year 2008/09); an Unified Middle school Romani/D'Annunzio with 743 affiliates; two Primary Schools.

The local economy is primarily based on tourism but they also covers a certain importance activity and firms of the primary sector (agriculture-fishing) and in the secondary one (food industries, textile, and electric and electronic material, the house building and the craftsmanship). There also are other economic activities: transports and communications; commercial services; gastronomy, hospitality; insurances and banking services; administrative activity of the organs of state; advanced services as supply of equipments, machineries and good, computer science, research and development, legal advice, fiscal and technique, formation, marketing.
The city offers different polyvalent sporting centres and a true citadel of the sport in the south zone with fields of soccer and tennis, skating, fields from bottles, the palasport and the swimming pool.

Among the other structures there are: The Centre for elderly, the Centre Juvenile Piamartino, a Cinema Multisala, the Theatre, the Civic Library and the Palazzo del Mare, centre of the Master of first level in "Management, transformation and inspection of the fish resources" Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University Teramo.

Tarefas: The activities of the project of hosting European volunteers of the EVS, will develop in the Centre Youth Information and the Europe Direct Point. The volunteers will gradually involve, collaborate and they will also help the operators and the persons responsible in all the typical and daily activities of the two services:
back-office operations, are the foundations of the information. Indeed, local information comes from the back office, which is essentially based on search. (filing of documents, updating websites of Youth Information Office and Point Europe Direct also produces web pages in their native language), production of newsletters and email: The role of volunteers in this activity, which will be incorporated gradually, they will assist operators in daily activities that aim to improve and preserve the quality of information. The volunteers also will also be involved in analyzing, with the members of the cooperative, the utility, convenience, responsiveness of the informations to the needs of young people, They will also be involved in updating Web sites with pages in their native language, both in the Youth Information and Europe Direct point web sites and also in the website of "thousand questions, one Europe" For thiese activities we will ensure the voulnteers a basic education on the various languages used for creating web pages and software;
Participate in activities to counter with front-office tasks. The front office (or front line) represents the first line of service for us. The volunteers in this activity will always be accompanied by a qualified operator, they will be trained and slowly inserted in the front office. In detail, in this area, volunteers will be involved in operations that will see more than others in contact with the young users of the service and for that reason it will have an important and significant educational and experimental worth. Activities that specifically will be done with their contributions will be those relating to::

This type of activity, will greatly help the volunteer to appreciably improve their language skills of the Italian language and to promote the development of a sense of active citizenship and promoting education in a multicultural context.
To design / implement issues related to brochures in Italian and and / or in other languages (mother tongue of the volunteer or English if possible) in this activity volunteers will also be involved in choosing the graphic to be appealing and attractive to the youngsters who receives it after having the essential informations
Language tandem is the name chosen for the meetings, by appointment at the Police headquarters, which allows volunteers to meet local young people who want to improve their language skills (in English and the language of the volunteer). Meetings, 1 hour of time, they will talk 30 minutes in the native language of the voluntary and 30 minutes in Italian, to help EVS volunteers to enhance the knowledge of Italian.
Interventions info / territory training initiatives, seminars, workshops, info day Among the activities of the two services is to promote interventions info / training, throughout the province to reach young people where they are in schools but also in neighborhoods and streets. These activities also include the orientation meetings at the European mobility promoted as a point of Euroguidance Network in collaboration with the Employment Centers of the province of Teramo and the Abruzzo Region Euroconsilieri EURES. These activities which will involve the volunteers in the organization of workshops with highly interactive nature, through which they can informa and promote participation of new generations of youth to European programmes. Role of volunteers: In this activity, as well as helping operators in the distribution of publications and materials, preparation of thematic brochures (the volunteers will also be involved in choosing the graphic to be appealing and attractive to the youngsters who receive it in addition to essential informations), they will be involved at all stages: conception of information and publicity, collaboration in the distribution thereof, implementation and promotion of initiatives, dissemination of results, they are also called to give their witness about their EVS experience and they also have to describe the culture of their country of origin in most of these activities.
Help Desk Information: Our center has set up two information Help Desk: one reserved for the young, the other to schools. There are activities that fall broadly into the front office (or front line) but it is often requested a specific appointment.
" The Helpdesk is designed to guide young people to submit projects under the EU Youth in Action. It is reserved for groups of children, associations, NGOs, with a project idea and wanted to apply for an exchange under Action 1.1, or for projects for youth initiatives or other activities in the frame of Youth in Action Programmeand we will also grant assistance in seraching partners, helping in the planning stages, etc..
" The Help Desk School is reserved both to institutions and individual teachers and / or directors, that have innovative ideas and would like to start a school partnership under the bilateral or multilateral Comenius and Grundtvig Programme
The involvement of volunteers in this activity will take place only after receiving adequate training and have acquired requested skills they will support the operators because he/she could be the intermediary between local youths and young people of their country to build partnerships: the volunteers could be the intermediary between our schools and those in their own country and also for Leonardo mobility projects between our schools and enterprises or firms of their nations.The Coop. Lo spazio delle idee will give to the volunteers general formation on Italian culture, language, and customs. They will have daily reunions with the mentor, who will also monitor the project and support them in situations of crisis or potential conflicts.
For all the phases of project, the volunteers will be assisted by the tutor and the supervisor, and together with the volunteer, will provide to the compilation of the YouthPass.

Horário: The Office is open from Monday to Friday from 8,30 to 13,30 and the Tuesday and Thursday from 15,30 to 18,30 (31hours per week). On Monday or on Wednesday, there will be meetings to coordinate and plan the activities (both from the volunteers and from the operators) and to value the activities developed by all the operators. Volunteers will be invoved in these meetings and they will decide with the operators the schedule of the activities that they will make during the weeks.
