Resumo: (Media&communication/Youth information)

The hosting organization was set up in 1985 from a group of associations, social cooperatives and individuals who wanted to have a coordinating point for their social interventions in the local territory. Since then, the organization has supported the creation of new social cooperatives, has activated new services necessary to the activities of its members and has contributed to the growth of the local environment. It now represents 5 social cooperatives and 2 associations which operates in many different fields:
• minors and adolescents
• disability
• elderly
• adult discomfort
• mental health
• addiction problems
• immigrants
• job placement: we have also activate an office for helping unemployed people and people with fewer opportunities to find a job or an internship. At local level it operates in the province and at a regional/national level it is a member of different Italian Third Sector networks.

The organization manages activities of shared interests among the partners being a coordinating organization which deals with administration, planning, training for social workers, local volunteering, National/Universal and Regional Civil Service, European Voluntary Service and European Solidarity Corps. The main objectives of the organization are: • to connect the profit culture with the values of solidarity (participation, attention to the individual, quality of the services)
• to be a means of innovation in the Welfare sector of the local community. Consorzio manages activities of shared interests among the partners functioning as a co-ordinating organization in various fields (administration, project management, trainings for social workers, fund raising, etc). In particular, the Human Resourses Area of the organization manages volunteering projects by running the selection and monitoring young people engaged in volunteering activities, deals with the planning and development of training courses in different thematic areas such as:
• qualification of professional workers
• trainings for managers, employees and voluntary workers
• psycho-pedagogical and socio-organizational advisory
• promotion of volunteering and social cooperation
• promotion of active citizenship and European mobility (through Servizio Civile Regionale and Universale and EVS, ESC).

Perfil: Age: 18-30

For this project we are looking for a motivated and flexible person with interest in work in a youth office and in learning italian :-)

Tarefas: The volunteer will participate in the activities in the field of Media&communication/Youth information, working at the department that manages the ESC.
Tasks:
- work at the office(preparing documents,copies, sending mails,etc)
- keep on FB and IG page & blog dedicated to ESC(news,articles,opportunities,events,etc.).
- supporting the organization of events with the goal of create moments of intercultural confront but also to promote the subject of solidarity and active citizenship;
- support on the communication with the volunteers abroad and the young people interested on ESC or Servizio Civile(a type of italian Volunteering Service);
-preparation of promotional or informative material about the activities of the organization etc

Horário: The volunteer will work Monday to Friday in a total of 32-35 hours a week. The volunteer will have 2 consecutive days off per week (normally Saturday and Sunday) and 2 day holidays per month to be used according to the volunteer’s needs but always to be agreed with the supervisor.

Condições: He/she will live in a flat with other ESC volunteers, in a single room. The volunteer will receive 180€ each month for the food supply and 6€ per day as pocket money. The volunteer will have a bicycle to move freely in the city.
