Resumo: We are a special school supporting the development of children and young people with a wide range of didactic or educational deficits.

Our mission is to provide equal educational opportunities, to build high self-esteem and self-confidence among our pupils and to take responsibility for the educational process. An important aspect for us is respect for other people, their outlook on life, the colour of their skin, their culture and the language they speak.

Hence our decision to join the Erasmus+ project, which helps us to emphasise the above-mentioned values even more, and for the students it is a unique opportunity to come into contact with a foreign and beautiful culture and its language. Moreover, it is a great time and opportunity to promote English as a lingua franca and communication medium in the project.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

In our projects we aim at involving youngsters aged 18-30 years old with no distinction of ethnicity, religion, gender, political orientation, nor economic, geographical, physical, social condition. We will always try to ensure gender balance in every project, but this won’t be a compulsory requirement for our final selection.

Tarefas: ● Taking part in everyday activities of school agenda.
● Joining teachers in the lessons, supporting the students who experience behavioural problems.
● Creating the scenarios of the English lessons, taking turns, presenting Volunteers’ original culture.
● Giving support during the breaks by taking care of the safety of the Students in the corridor.
● Engaging in the preparation of various school events (celebrations of different holidays and special days in the calendar.
● Engaging in sports activities inside and outside of school (sport contest in various disciplines).
● Spreading the creativity, inspirations, being partners in the mission of making Students happy, more motivated and equipped with educational and personal skills.

Condições: Accommodation for our volunteers is always chosen on the basis of its proximity to the school and close to tram and/or bus stops. The city is very well connected as regards public transportation and the services of bike sharing are also widely spread. In any case, the volunteers are always provided with a card for public transport for the whole duration of the mobility. The accommodation we always choose is a flat in quiet and safe areas, with kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Organization covers rent, payment of gas, electricity, water, internet. Every volunteer has his/her own bedroom.
