Resumo: (PRESERVING NATURE OF THE BASQUE REGION- volunteering teams project)

The hosting organization is a non-profit organisation for Youth and Popular Education founded in 1950 with the aim to promote international exchanges of young volunteers.
Organization's objectives are : To contribute to the animation of social life by the participation of French and foreign volunteers in the realization of civil works of general interest. To promote the circulation of people and ideas through international exchanges in order to develop knowledge, mutual understanding and peace.
To promote an education project, encouraging an active citizenship of people for a democratic, united and participatory society. Concordia has a national headquarters and 11 delegations spread throughout France. The delegations carry out various projects responding to the needs of their local territories and can rely on the experience of the national headquarters, and especially the team of the international sector, to coordinate them.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

No specific background is required of participants; we are simply looking for people who are motivated by the project and keen to share a collective experience. Please note: to ensure gender balance within the project, we are currently looking for more male participants.

Tarefas: Come and take part in the project to protect several natural sites in the region!
This project, created with nature specialists from the area and the Conservatory of Natural Areas will allow you to discover the flora and fauna of the region through a range of different tasks: cutting down and removing invasive exotic species on wet moorland, repairing and installing fences in the mountains..
You'll have the opportunity to work on different sites in the middle of nature!

Condições: You will be accommodated in individual tents on a camping site, with sanitary facilities, kitchen and communal living area in the small village of Urt. You will share various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders. Together, you'll help organise community life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take turns preparing meals, trying to use locally sourced and seasonal products. We encourage a vegetarian diet on our projects. No wifi & hand wash for clothes.
