Resumo: (CREATE THE DOOR TO THE MOUNTAIN - volunteering teams project)

The hosting organization is a non-profit organisation for Youth and Popular Education founded in 1950 with the aim to promote international exchanges of young volunteers.
Organization's objectives are : To contribute to the animation of social life by the participation of French and foreign volunteers in the realization of civil works of general interest. To promote the circulation of people and ideas through international exchanges in order to develop knowledge, mutual understanding and peace.
To promote an education project, encouraging an active citizenship of people for a democratic, united and participatory society. Concordia has a national headquarters and 11 delegations spread throughout France. The delegations carry out various projects responding to the needs of their local territories and can rely on the experience of the national headquarters, and especially the team of the international sector, to coordinate them.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
No specific background is required of participants; we are simply looking for people who are motivated by the project and keen to share a collective experience. Please note: to ensure gender balance within the project, we are currently looking for more male participants.

Tarefas: Get involved to preserve the natural heritage in a small village in the heart of the Pyrenees mountains. For over ten years, this small has hosted international workcamps.
This year, you will be working on a project to improve the town hall garden!
All previous projects have focused on enhancing the village's landscape.
You will work alongside city staff to install a wooden gate in the center of the garden. Using recycled materials and learning various woodworking techniques, you will help beautify this space, which is regularly used for local events.

Condições: You’ll be in permanent accommodation, with access to toilets and showers. You will be able to sleep in single-gender dormitories and/or in dormitories of your choice.
Bring your own sleeping bag and your pillow! The group will be sharing the cleaning chores and preparing meals together. A budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the grocery shopping and in the preparation of meals, prioritising products from the market and local producers.
