Resumo: (INTERNATIONALIZATION TEAM ASSISTANT)
The hosting organization is a public Vocational Education and Training (VET) school specializing in IT and Electronics, located in Spain. We are committed to innovation and aim to ensure the highest employability rate for our graduates. That’s why our school is located in the Tech Park, an area that hosts over 600 IT companies and more than 20,000 IT professionals.
The organization has participated in European projects since 1987.
Our main objectives, as outlined in our strategic plan, include:
Inclusion and equity
Holistic education
Respect and coexistence
Values and skills-based education
Environmental awareness and sports culture
European engagement and language learning
Integration of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies)
Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are only considering responsible, motivated, and passionate applicants!
English fluency (B2 minimum) is required. The basic knowledge of Spanish is preferable but not a requisite.
Tarefas: Volunteers will have the opportunity to be involved in various school programs and projects for future IT professionals, primarily focusing on carrying out social media and assisting in preparation and management of Erasmus+ mobility projects.
Key areas of involvement include:
+ International Projects: Supporting the Erasmus+ coordination team with activities such as finding new opportunities, helping with student mobility (incoming and outgoing), coordinating the selection of exchange program participants, hosting delegations, and contributing to Erasmus+ KA2 and Youth Exchange projects.
+ E-Marketing: Actively managing social media, the web-site and creating promotional videos across different platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) within the framework of the Erasmus+ dissemination activities.
+ Youth Information: Creating a space where students can inquire about opportunities through the Erasmus+ Youth Program and motivating them to use the offered opportunities.
+ Assisting Bilingualism Team: While primarily focusing on internationalization and social media, a volunteer will help Bilingual Assistant in implementing the scope of tasks corresponding to the bilingualism area (subject to availability and schedule business).
+ Information Technology: Engaging with various IT-related learning experiences, such as Game Development, Graphic Design, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Robotics, etc.
+ Cultural Activities: Helping organize and participate in school-related cultural activities, both onsite and offsite.
Volunteer Selection: Assisting in the selection process of next year’s volunteers.
A volunteer will interact with a wide range of young people from diverse backgrounds, gaining valuable insights into youth culture in Spain.
A volunteer will also have autonomy and flexibility in their daily work life. Any initiative from the volunteer will be highly encouraged. They will have freedom to decide how to organise their work to achieve the set project goals and they’ll be offered space to propose any additional project activities.
Horário: The volunteer’s schedule will consist of approx. 25–30 hours/week, which are usually distributed in the morning. The school operates from 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM and again from 3:15 PM to 9:30 PM. While most activities take place in the morning, volunteers may be required to come in the afternoon for special activities or classes. Weekend activities are not common but could occur in exceptional cases, depending on school events or projects.
Holidays
Volunteers will follow the official school holiday calendar, which includes New Year Vacations (around 2 weeks), Semana Blanca (end of February, 1 week), and Easter Week (end of March-beginning of April, 1 week)
Condições: Accommodation
Volunteers will stay in shared rented flats with other ESC volunteers or flatmates. Flats will be equipped with essential household items. The hosting organization will cover electricity, water, and gas. Internet access is not provided.
Beware that since the school is located in the Tech Park outside the city centre, it may take volunteers around an hour (one way) to get to the place of volunteering activities.
A flat information pack and house rules will be shared. A €300 deposit will be required and reimbursed at the end of the project if the flat is left clean and undamaged.
Living Costs
Volunteers will receive €180/month for pocket money, €150/month for food and additional €50/month from the hosting organization to cover food, hygiene, and cleaning expenses. Volunteers will cook their own meals in the shared flat.
Local Transport
The cost of an unlimited monthly bus card will be reimbursed to ensure daily commutes over 3 km from the volunteer’s residence to the school. The cost of the rechargeable metro card might be reimbursed as well (subject to the internal agreements)
