Resumo: The hosting organization is a non-profit organisation based in Estonia, working to support young people with special needs in their social development and participation. The organisation operates within Vivere Kool/ Vivere School, an inclusive school environment, and focuses on creating opportunities for young people to grow through non-formal learning and social activities.
The organization promotes inclusion by organising hobby activities, educational events, and awareness-raising initiatives. It also contributes to the development of youth workers and educators by providing training on working with mixed-ability groups.
The volunteer will be involved in supporting inclusive education and non-formal learning activities, contributing to a positive and supportive environment where all young people can participate and develop according to their abilities.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for a volunteer who:
- Is interested in working with young people, especially in inclusive and mixed-ability environments
- Has a supportive, patient, and open-minded attitude
- Has at least an intermediate level of English
- Has some experience working with children or young people (formal or non-formal settings)
- Is flexible, creative, and ready to take responsibility
- Is motivated to support educators and contribute to team work
- No previous experience is required, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Tarefas: The volunteer will support daily educational and non-formal learning activities, including:
- Assisting in primary school classes together with teachers
- Supporting the development of students through non-formal learning methods
- Helping organise and implement after-school and extracurricular activities
- Co-creating interactive and educational events for students
- Supporting school trips and group activities
- Bringing their own ideas and initiating educational or creative activities
The volunteer will work closely with teachers and staff and will have the opportunity to gradually take initiative and contribute their own ideas.
